OMG, who is saying Chicago doesn't contribute to this forum. His posts inspire and teach many. And, he encourages people to excel. And, I've read some of the other posts. He's right, he's not responsible for all the content here. good or bad. When we are down he makes us smile; when we are up, he helps us soar to new heights. These are very informative. Ask trinity. I believe we are all inspired by chicago and of course his teenage mutant ninja turtle - oh, got that wrong; his teenage naked ninja cheerleaders. although, after all this time, I think some have already seen the better half of their teenage years!

Chicago posts are, without doubt, informative. I also find his posts to be endlessly entertaining. I should make just one disclosure about my suspicions concerning the naked, teenage chearleaders. I have done quite a bit of talking to the head nurse at the Older Than Dirt Rest Home (located in Canada) and she has a few, shall we say, reservations about some of Chicago's "perceptions." From her comments, I think it is fair to say that chicago's medications play no small part in how he sees things.
Interestingly, the nurse says that the home is a gated facility and there is no paintball permitted within the walls, however they do have a Nerf League which is pretty popular among the oldsters there.Apparently, Chicago insists that the Canadian National Anthem be played before each one of their games. Usually, he sings it himself. All the nurses (his posse?) think that is just so cute. His favored tactic is to drape an old piece of shag carpet over himself and his walker and hide in the women' bathroom talking to his "naked chearleaders." Apparently he is quite good with his little Nerf gun.

Oh, and Trinity, Nurse Karachet sends her regards. She still has those polaroids of you in a nurs's gown pretending to be a sniper! But, they are safe with me as long as you don't reveal my actual location. And, no more wise cracks about my "little" nerf gun! It's rather large by canadian standards!

Blackmail is such an ugly activity. Besides those photos were taken when I was operational and undercover. The mission was to find a Canadian secret agent who was supposedly hiding in some Canadian rest home acting like he was senile. The only thing I found up there was an elderly, one-eyed green guy with a little, itsy-bitsy Nerf gun hiding in the woman 's bathroom covered in shag carpet. He didn't look like he was fit for much more than gumming peanuts. He was definitely senile but I don't think he was acting. I asked the nurses if they were at all concerned because he did have that gun. They laughed and said that his gun was pretty small and probably didn't even work anymore. They characterized his gun as "harmless."
But don't worry, I won't reveal your exact location. I got your back Chicago.

Had to share this with everyone. Was posted over on the Tiberius forum. It has to do with hawke scopes (something that I think I contributed to even here on this forum - although I never receive any credit for the posts here other than the vulgar pictures I post). However, I must warn everyone first: There are explicit pictures of a paintball gun with a new naked Hawke scope attached to it. Viewer discretion is advised. For mature audiences only. Proceed at your own risk. If you do not enjoy seeing pictures of scopes or markers, do not proceed! forums.tiberiusarms.com/showthread.php?t=5702

I agree with Allu. May be if we preface each link with a Chicago style warning, we can at least link to other sites. This is a very slippery slope that someone has forced us to go down. I'm using this warning on all my posts:
I wish there was like a macro in the tabs for it.
Wolfen, when will you let my avatar come back. I'll post that warning under my avatar if that would help.

I have not done anything at all to your avatar... if it's missing then it is because something you have done yourself.

I haven't changed anything. I'll try to reset stuff now. But, I swear all I do is long in when I can. I haven't changed anything since I joined. But, now with these vicious attacks on us. I was just assume that you or someone like you was interfering with our abilities to post on this forum.

Had another unexpected improvement to my project today.
In preparation, for purchasing a CCM SR1, I've been accumulating a bunch of stuff. I purchased a Tiberius bipod from casper. A newer version of the killjoy adjustable riser. I bought a Leatherwood camputer crossbow scope (experimental - don't get me wrong, I love my Hawke XB30). I bought a small, cheap picatinny from Amazon that mounts directly to a paintball barrel (to mount the bipod on). So, you know me, I could not help mounting/trying them out on my T9.1.
Well, I loved the tiberius bipod so much on my hammerhead barrel that its going to stay there! However, like all upgrades, it slightly changed the dynamics of my marker. So, I had to move this and move that and it didn't like the look or feel. It was uncomfortable with both the front bipod and the old/ retractable bipod/grip; that I pulled the old grip which was very, very comfortable and helped me so much stabilize my shots. So, I switched back to my magpul angled foregrip (AFG).
But, I'd now become so comfortable and self assured with a vertical grip that I could not get used to the AFG feel again. So I order a magpul MOE vertical grip to try before taring every thing off my T9.1 and going back to the original setup. I ordered the magpul vertical in the afternoon yesterday an it arrived around noon today (mind you, I got shipping free no special shipping just UPS yesterday when I ordered it from Amazon!) I was so surprise when it showed up today thought I'd have to wait til the end of the week).
I didn't think this was going to work but for less than $20 USD I was willing to try. And, ever since watching the girls in "Sucker Punch" (an awesome movie) I've wanted to give a vertical a try!
OMG, it was love at first grip. I got to mount it exactly where the old combo grip and retractable bipod sat. So, the comfort was there instantly (and more - I don't know how to describe it). The grip came stippled and it works and looks great with a real bipod way forward. You may remember that I have a bad left shoulder/arm so the comfort and position is paramount for me.
I now know exactly how I'd set up the SR1. Do yourself a favor, if you haven't ordered a custom foregrip yet, try one of these, I'm so glad I did! Promise new pix later.

Headed out to the field today, I think. see you there. Going to use that new grip today. And maybe see someone who will help me test the FLASC fake suppressor again. I modified it. Also want to try the new field they created at Fox.

Never got to the field, needed a real toilet close by (TMI? had tacos last night - bad move no pun intended). Any way, went out back to test the new mods to the Flasc suppressor when who else than VoodooAddict showed up asking if I was headed out to the field and needed a ride. We are truly blessed here with many great independent and professional run fields, all of which here allow first strikes. Anyway after all the previous testing we did, it showed that the flasc smooth bores and the flasc fake suppressor were impacting my shots. I was devastated esp with the suppressor. after many years of experience I learned two important things: stand perfectly still and don't make a noise.
Well, I can still shoot and accurately too; but, it appeared I was going to loose the reduced noise element. I had an idea; but, no one to test it with! I started to think that possibly, between shots, my "shipping" packing inside my flasc suppressor was moving around from shot to shot and covering some of the natural porting inside the suppressor; but not always the same ports or the bubble wrap was not always completely recovering from shot to shot. The fake suppressor was so quiet that I didn't want to loose the extra packing material in the box - the little bubble wrap that Flasc provided to protect the suppressor "in shipment."
So, I came up with an idea. Use scotch tape inside to hold the tiny bubble wrap in place. That didn't work still wider patterns than with no suppressor at all. and, you know me, I need tight patterns! So, I had one more idea but I needed so help and since VoodooAddict was there to see if I was going to the field - his trunk was already packed, I pressed him into service! To my surprise, my latest idea, it worked and Voodoo was amazed. What I decided to do was dampen the metallic "bing" that came with every shot. No additional washers, rubber, or glue or locktite. What I did was I pulled out the bubble wrap that came with the Flasc. And I took velcro, yes velcro, the type that has two sides of sticky tape and the velcro mated in the middle (there are two sides to velcro). It was a ***** to get a complete circle at the end by the outer ports of the suppressor so I just cut equal short strips (about an inch) and put them linear one side of the velcro then the other around the exit port at the end of the suppressor then inserted the ported insert that comes with it. The velcro just sites "stationary" held in place by the sticky tape that comes with it; not actually covering the ports, but just on the outter inside wall of metal. To my surpise not only did it reduce the annoying sound (which protect your hearing better!), it removed the inaccuracy from shot to shot I experienced in the earlier tests. I have my Flasc again! I believe the tape that is on the opposite side to the velcro holds everything in place.
Voodoo could tell right away (remember he runs dual pistols with Flasc fake suppressors). I told him to go down range behind the shed and listen. He said he didn't have to, he could just tell. So I said you shoot and I'll run down the 50 meters to listen. I don't know how to describe the sound but it was very subtle. Later he said, you know the crack from the first strike round hitting the target is louder than the the noise from the marker. I watch from may be 3-4 feet away as one round after another struck the same spot from 50 yards away. I didn't always hear the marker I just heard the snap as it hit the target in the same place each time! He put the hammerhead M50 on and fired more. I heard the marker all three times. I waved for him to stop. The Flasc was probably 20-30 time more quiet than the supposedly "quiet" M50 hammerhead muzzle!
We switched positions and I was to try but first he adjusted the Hawke XB30. He said as I got back to the firing station which was just a big table that the bipod from the Tib sat on today (rushed testing that wasn't really intended for accuracy just sound). He said "you know, I checked the chrono and it is running a little hot, that might explain why all the rounds are hitting an inch high (right on left to right); but all high." He said he'd noticed most of the shots were 281 to 283 so he turned up the speed dial on the Hawke to 280 fps. The rounds dropped by about an inch. Then he ran down stream. I adjusted it up just above the 280 fps and three rounds in a row hit dead center. He waved, our signal to cease fire.
He came running back, I said "I've got about 5 more rounds." He said, you don't need them. "I just saw you drop 3 rounds one on top of the other and all I heard was the crack when the hit the target. You don't need to do other testing!"
I'm glad we tried this and that I now still can use my flasc fake suppressor. We did more testin with my mp7 and I wanted to test the Leatherwood Camputer crossbow scope by putting it on the T9.1 that housed my Hawke but he convinced me not to mess with "perfection!" The Eotech on my Mp7 is another story I'll tell another time. Just wanted people to know, don't abandon those FLASC fake suppressors!

It fits with an adapter from FLASC! I'll got two, one on my mp7 with the 8 inch hammerhead rifled and one on my T9.1 14 inch hammerhead. They work great! You get them from FLASC.

Haven't gone to the field with it yet, just the testing yesterday outback. The FLASC with the Adapter on the HammerHead 0.688 is phenomenal.
After making the mods I made to the inside of the FLASC, it has an effect on the accuracy/grouping in a very positive way. I can do like Robinhood and drop round after round in the exact same spot from 150 feet away use only the bipod I purchased from you (that's with no wind - if I waited)! If there was a gentle breeze and I couldn't wait, it was sub 2 inch pattern. I know, cause I can use the Hawke XB30 at any range to measure in increments of one inch!
So, that will be my new set up from now on until I come up with some new idea or get a working SR1 in my hands that will accept a hammerhead riffled or one of my own fiber composites! My mechanic is chumbing at the bit to try and mod a couple!

I finally realized how to best describe the sound that comes out of the front of the maker with the FLASC on it. It's like when you blow a paintball out of a barrel. kinda a lite puff.

Ahaaa, genius... pure gold there, absolutely pure gold... One question, if i understood it correctly you just have small strips inside on the outer wall, nothing anywhere else? something like this. Warning: epic paint skills displayed
