Regrettably I was stuck here in Florida, so the answer is no I didn't see what they unveiled. I can tell you that they ended the event about an hour early, due to a severe thunder/lightening storm that had multiple strikes in the area. At first the Germans thought they'd won, but once they totaled all the points the allies came out 200 points ahead. That may sound like a lot, but take it from me, it was a close thing, far to close for me. Still haven't learned what sort of impact the snipers may have had but as soon as I have any details I'll be sure to pass them along. In the mean time it's time to kick back and relax a bit before we launch our recruiting campaign for 2014. To all of you who've been following my posts, thanks for your interest. Hope to see all of you there next year..
Sincerely,
Andrew Van Der Plaats J-9 Allied Command Staff Oklahoma D-Day Event
