I really like the Carmatech as well. Scarab Arms too new, too different. See, I can say these things cause I'm not sponsored by them (not saying Trinity is - no sinister double meaning). He's just more conservative with his words and opinions. Like Thumper in Disney's Bambi, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." We played for years with those markers. Go, have fun, get an inexpensive marker to begin with. I guess I consider Tiberius cheap compared to CCM's SR1 or Carmtech's. But, if you decide to still go that way, go to GMAN1 over on the Tiberius forum and buy it from his site. Ask for the Tiberius forum discount! or, tell I sent you. No, tell him Trinity sent you - he'll probably be more impressed. Impressed by mentioning my name? Can you tell the old guy's mind went on vacation for a bit? That aside, I wholeheartedly agree with the rest of his advice. Sounds like he's just plagued with regularity problems. Pretty common ailment for seniors.

Once you actually put your hands on one of those rifles and feel just how well built it is, it's hard not to get excited about it. Bill's enthusiasm for shooting in general, and his products in particular, is contagious.

Bills thoughts conviced me that I need to get rid of my super semi and get an sr1. haha!! Lets quit talking looks stocks and hand guards and such how are we carrying extra rnds??I am thinking a mini dump pouch (holds 50 or less fsr)with an elastic top of some sort so when you move they won't drop out.You could reach in with 2 fingers pull out a rnd.Attach it to the right side of the stock or maybe the fake mag.I am not stocking up on the inserts so I will be slapping them in on their own.In a good hide I would lay a few out on a bandannaor something.Thoughts?? Uploaded with ImageShack.usHere's some shops that are pretty open to custum or modded gear. Also Bdazel formally of specops looks to be a good resource. www.mccannusa.com/wtfpb.com/

I had two thoughts in that direction casper. One, I've been looking for a shotgun shell carrier, like an 18 round Black Hawk or a 12 round flip open molle pouch. Only other thing I plan on carrying is some 10 round tubes and a dump pouch for the spent shells. Travel light. May be a small hip shack that I can use as a muzzle rest. And, possibly a tarp inside the shack to slip over my head so I can disappear easier into the brush (kinda like a flat ghillie).
Any way, my second point is directed to Bill and Trinity. I haven't seen what extra shells will cost. I thought I'd read that three came with the SR1. Some, how much would another dozen cost?

Any way, my second point is directed to Bill and Trinity. I haven't seen what extra shells will cost. I thought I'd read that three came with the SR1. Some, how much would another dozen cost? Three different sizes come with the gun. Bill is selling the sizer's for $5 each. They are prototypes too and the last time we talked, he discussed making them out of delrin, which would greatly reduce the price. I have decided that I won't use the shells that way. I will size my paint before I play and separate it into my drop pouch in small bags along with the best matching sizer. On the field, I will lock the casing in (for each presized paint supply) and hand feed the first strikes into the breach. Is it cooler looking to do what Modern Intel did and load all of the rounds into the shells? Yes, no question. Is it faster and easier? Not for me. I don't want a bandolier or to worry about keeping track of my ejected shell casings. The truth is I can breach load a bit faster than messing with the shell casing. After having done a bit of first strike sizing I am now much more conscious of the size differences in first strikes. I am also convinced that those variations in paint-to-bore match also impact the consistency of my velocity. For example, if I am shooting using the .684 sizer and use some of the paint for the .686 sizer I get a small velocity swing. Intuitively, you know, as you are fitting the round into the tight sizer that it will be a bit hardetodo the gun to push the round down the pipe and you also know that no air (less air?) will be slipping around the first strike and going down the barrel. You know that all of that is going to have some impact on velocity. The same is just as true when you use smaller-sized first strikes in the .686 sizer. I can't help but believe that sizing your paint and then matching to the most appropriate sizer is just another way to eliminate one more variable in this never-ending search for consistency.

Thanks for the update Trinity. With all the info you've provided, I'm heading back toward the SR1 (still don't like the standard barrel). But, I've decided I'm like a crazy kid trying to pimp it all out. So here's the new direction I'm headed in (of course with a short 14 inch ported barrel andmy Leatherwood Camputer scope - btw it arrived the other day black of course) everything in basic black kinda like this: Now my problem is coming up with a kick *** name. Maybe " The Black Widowmaker."

You know at one time, I used to know how to use a three point sling. I think I still have one in an old paintball box.
I was thinking it might be perfect for the SR1. Do people still use them? Can anyone here tell us how to set it up properly and make it work? It's been a long time.

in the army we had a two point that almost worked as a three point, clip at front and when you pushed it out you had a one point.. the real three point seems a bit more adaptive tho...
this might help you out

Thanks Allu, I guess its like riding a bike. Once you fall off, the world never stops spinning; but, you just have to suck it up and live with it. Here. this is for you. MilSim type stuff. Our Navy has the "Seals" (they actually call them Navy Seals!); our paintball (ding, ding) teams have the "Dolphins:" Ding, ding another paintball ( ding, ding) reference!

Very nice, I've been doing the same. I've got my leatherwood sight and the killjoy adjustable riser should arrive today!. The other day I got a ball sizer (cause using a caliper or micrometer on every first strike round would be a pain!). Just learned about the problem from Trinity! I made a terrible assumption that all First Strikes were fairly consistent.
Also got an eight round "tiger striped" shotgun shell/Co2 holder that was mollie capable to attach to the front of my "tiger striped" dump pouch. Unfortunately, the dump pouch is a half inch too small on either side, So, I just attached the shell holder to my vest (where real estate is at a premium - in fact now there is no more room.) And, cause of my bad arm, I can't reach back to grab stuff there.
But, I'm waiting for a quote. And, to be honest, if Bill's deliveries are slipping out into October now, I'll be also relooking at the SAR12 from Carmatech.
Aren't all the new paintball (ding, ding) gadgets grand!

[Chicago's posse here:
Which books? The Paintball Orgy is a forum members collaboration. The OFDA Trilogies are written by D.A. Burke which is Chicago's pen name. Or, are you just implying that everyone's responses here seem to run on and on and on. That's Wolfen's fault.
