Hmm i thought it had a new DM board in it (in that case you should actually be able to change or turn off the automatic shut down). Sucks if it can't . The Barrel that comes with a the DAM is the same that came with the DM8. It's a really good smooth bore barrel, but it's still smooth bore. I do remember that Stiffi used to make Rifled barrels that were super quiet, have one for my really old automag, dunno if you can still find them or if they were ever made in cocker-thread.

The board in it is fairly limited on options. Unfortunately time is not one of the options. It could even be something as simple as a button somewhere that could restart the timer without having to take a shot. Turning it off and back on does the same thing but requires you to hold it for a few seconds each and watching the lights to make sure it does turn off and back on which could be a "fatal distraction". Same problem with the knock off eotechs, they turn off after 10-15 minutes instead of the 4-8 hours that the real ones do.
As for a barrels, the stock one is one of the Dye UL barrels but is smoothbore, same with my Deadlywinds barrel. Of course the HH that I got is one of the older models so the tip is not removable to be able to put anything else on there. I could play around with using a tube over the tip like suggested that may be the only option I have with this barrel. It's still not excessively loud, but louder than I would like.

Here's the latest pic of how it's coming.... Still waiting on the damn mags....I even tried to order them thru dye's website which said they were in stock and I just received an email today that they won't have them for probably 2 more weeks.... Got my new Eotech (zombie killer) from t-tiger and it looks pretty good so far. It appears to have eleminated one of my problems with the sight also turning off after 10-15 minutes, this one stays on for quite a while (haven't timed it yet) like the real ones do, probably 4-8 hours. I also got the killflash for it which should protect the lens pretty good, however it's not very easy to see thru, I may end up getting a honeycomb one like on my scope.

Oh yeah, I finally got some mags in and removed the stick feed! Getting the vest set up also, waiting on the Dye pouches and 6 more 20 round mags. Just ordered a throat mic, more FS rounds, and a wrist radio (not sure how well it will work, but it's a lot smaller and easy to carry for an ebay score of $12 shipped). Merry Christmas to me....

I'm currently using Midland GXT1000 and it works great but is a little large and I try to minimize all the hard surfaces I can. The one I just ordered is a xact wristlinx, not sure if it will work worth a dam but for the price I'll give it a try. Here's a pic of it....

I tested out the wristlinx radio this weekend a little. It works pretty good if you are going to be within a reasonable distance to who ever you are communicating with. It is a little to weak to reach all over our field and since I ref, I need something that will work everywhere so I'll be sticking with my midland for the time being.
I've also started a project of combining my q-loader with my Dye Dam mag. It's looking pretty promising so far. May not be the best design, but it might work until Dye comes out with a box mag rotor.

Looking good, judging by the sound of the hits on the target that seems quite quiet. Looks like you got yourself a hell of versatile platform there. Big thumbs up from me

Almost there.....got the Vendetta mounted, just need to paint or tape it to match the rest of the gun. I was playing around with the gun tape, still deciding if I like it. I should have the Flasc suppressor in a week or two as soon as Hustle get's the adapter in. Just did a quick alignment on the Vendetta at about 20 yards, haven't had time to try it out any further than that yet.

Hey Djmatt! Is that a 16" or a 14" HH? guessing 14", and do you think a 14" HH would clear the Dams double shrouds? i dont know how long the tips are on those. really would like my flasc fake suppressor to fit the end of it. My 9" flasc back just say byebye and disappears in the shrouds

It looks like with both shrouds attached, it will clear the end by about 2" and it is the 14" HH so you should have no problem fitting the suppressor on it.
Chicago, those are prison bars for my dogs....I like the look of the hydro dip, but I don't like the shinnyness to it and I like a little texture from the stone textured paint or the tape to help break up the surface.
I went to Tap Plastics today and picked up a plexiglass box to make a cover for the Vendetta so I dont' take a paintball to it and destroy it. Looks like it should work, but haven't really started messing with it much yet.
