So i got curious which gear people are using. Now im talking about the whole setup, not just the marker, so what masks, vests, belts, markers, barrels, cammo, clothes, shoes and what not is everyone using? Feel free to add pictures and why you decided on that particular piece of equipment. Also i'd love to know any type of mods you done and why. I'll go first. This year my setup for most games is. Marker: T9.1 (Tiberius APR, Tib/lapco .683 rifled barrel, tank-in stock with output pressure 480 psi, tiberius 4x32 scope (or ADCO mirage reddot), Custom made silencer and custom paintjob. Polished internals). (sometimes the Shroud with a bi-pod) Mask: Dye I4 liquid olive with HD fade lens and custom netting on lens (will add pic later today) Clothes: This year i've been really fond of just running the complete Eclipse HDE jersey and pants and multi wrap to cover my head and part of my mask. Also use my 3-d leaf suit every now and again. Vest/belts: I use neither vests nor belts as i carry my extra mags and all in condors single mag pouches directly attached to the Molle on the HDE pants (i absolutely love this, super comfortable, easy to use and no movement on the mags at all. Honestly i don't even notice that i have them there.) Shoes: I use a pair of lightweight brown waterproof trekking shoes. Misc: Usually 3-4 mags loaded with First strikes ONLY! Why i chosen this setup: My baby (Nemne) is setup exactly like i want her now (apart from the sight but haven't had the cash to get a new variable scope yet ). the on board air is super comfortable and i NEVER run out of air. Also it gives me really consistent fps (+/- 2 on every single shot). I like the Tib APR even if it's abit heavy (have changed the heavy metal rails to composite plastic) and i find that it's needed to stay consistently accurate at any range. The barrel is wicked accurate which is paramount for me and the silencer is needed to quiet down the otherwise really loud marker . For me the I4 is just the most comfortable mask with the best field of view. the Added Netting on the lens "hide" the lens and reduces the glare and reflection coming off it without hindering your view at all (you can't even see that it's there when you have the mask on). A post on this will appear in my corner of tricks in the very near future. As for the HDE apparel i just love them to death. Very good cammo pattern, super light and comfortable with great built in knee and hip pads. Breaths very well and gives me the option of carrying the mags without the need for a vest or belt. I use the 3-d leaf suit when i don't intend to move around alot simply because it makes me disappear . I use Mechanix Woodland gloves. The shoes i use for the reasons already discussed in another thread. the light and thin sole helps me move silently and the low shoes gives the extra flexability to my ankles which makes it easier to move ,and for me helps me to avoid injuries. There's already pics on the forum of my t9.1 and HDE setup with the mag pouches but i'll add them here again once i get home (i'll also add the modded I4 and E'vent) Backup setup: My backup marker is a DMR 09 with JJ edge complete barrel kit, Liquid olive Dye rotor, Stako 1,1l HPA (with a myth 2 LP regulator) for those days when i just want to play super aggressive and spam paint on people Cammos: While i actually ain't used any other then the leaf suit and HDE so far this year i do have like 10 other suits with different patterns and color schemes so that i can pick the perfect one wherever i go and play.

Guess i'll go second and at the same time post my first post/reply that isn't a question Markers: T9.1 (Tiberius APR, Tib/lapco .683 rifled barrel, 13ci guerilla tank (have an adjustable reg on the way), tiberius 4x32 scope, a reddot sight on the right side of the APR for when people are a bit to close for the scope and I don't have time to change to my phenom, Making a Custom made silencer (wolfens design) and going to make a custom paintjob when i have time. Polished internals). Tippmann Phenom (Mrt bad karma bolt, vortex mod, techt fang trigger, some kind of soft material inside the hopper to silence it, flasc control bore set with apex1 and apex2, guerilla 48ci tank (3000psi), a thin piece of rubber between the cyclone and bolt chamber that keeps the balls from rolling back into the cyclone preventing one cause for breaks) some weapon sling, Making a Custom made silencer (wolfens design) and going to make a custom paintjob when i have time)
Mask: JT flex 8 headshield Camo clear thermal lens. have a vortex fan and recently bought another kind made from 20 or 25mm computer fans so that i can use a fan with my boonie hat (sweat a lot so i need a fan to fight fog). Have made it so that i can remove the headshield part. going to make a custom paintjob since i feel that the camo is too dark.
Clothes: Propper A-Tacs FG ACU + Boonie hat. liked the pattern Planet Eclipse 2011 overload knee and elbow pads. for comfort when prone or crouching .
Vest/Belt: Using a belt with two or four 100 pods (pod packs originaly made for the legs and not the waist).
Shoes: Some of my old trekking shoes spray painted with brown and green.
Misc: Bt molle thigh rig with Full Clip Tiberius Tripple Mag Pouch in A-Tacs AU. 4 Mags with First Strikes (1 in the gun the rest in the mag puch)
I usualy run around with both markers, T9.1 in a holster on my hip/thigh and phenom on my back with the sling. This is so that i can change playstyle when i feel like it and when it is needed.
Thinking of buying a new mask since the flex 8 is a pain to clean but most of the really good ones (the Dye I4 for example) are a bit to small for me since i have a big head. the I4 barely covers my chin when my mouth is closed.
I am in the process of making a "back holster" for my T9.1 (since with the silencer the barrel will be too long for my current hip holster) and a sort of belt that it will be attached to together with some podpacks and other stuff. (if there is interest i can try to make a post about it in the how-to, can't promise good results though since it is the first thing i make completely from scratch with textiles in 9 or 10 years (i can add that i will be 22 this year))

If your looking for a good, comfortable mask that never fogs up (even without fans) that fits people with bigger heads, i'd strongly recommend the Empire E'vent. i've had mine for years and it never fogs up, is super comfortable with good protection. It's also a great choice for people that use glasses under their mask

Can I play, can I play too?
Marker: T9.1 (Killjoy APR, Hammerhead 14 inch 0.688 rifled barrel, remote line to Ninja reg with output pressure 440 psi, Hawke XB30 crossbow scope . Polished internals). Mil bipod (no shroud).
Mask: Dye I3 black, newer HD lens.
Clothes: Valken Tiger Stripe jersey and pants.
Vest/belts: Valken vest (really love it tried many). Valken Tiger Stripe mag pouches and dump pouch.
Shoes: I use a pair of steal toed green and brown waterproof trekking shoes.
Misc: Usually 4 mags with another in the marker loaded with First strikes ONLY! Also carry two extra tubes of First Strikes.
Why i chosen this setup: start when my woodland wore off me and some one gave me a pair of tiger stripe paints.
Backup setup:
My backup marker is a T8.1 (polished internals) in an Ops Gear shroud. 8.5 inch 0.688 riffled hammerhead. Mapul AFG (no APR on her and soon to be EOtech 512, the real thing) Some old flex mask (don't even carry it around) but I'm never without a spare marker.

BTW Wolfen, I think it is amazing how similar our primary set-ups are. Great idea for a thread. I hope lots of members out there post up here! I wonder whether a pattern will emerge. Please let Allu post up here too...

Marker: T9.1 (Tiberius APR, Tib/lapco .683 rifled barrel -tank-in stock -tiberius 4x32 scope -custom made silencer (slaughtered the internals on the one that came with the marker just to get the threaded pipe) -working on a paint job at the moment I'll take a pic once I'm done. -shroud with the fore grip, occasionally the bipod and i keep the laser on for reference when experimenting with angles Mask: Jt spectra flex 8 cammo version (it's a ***** to clean and to change the lens but otherwise I'm happy) also have a fan made of a computer fan and a battery pack with a switch (when I can find it in the mess here at home ) Clothes: This year mostly a full ghillie and some smartparts slide shorts, And some no name THIN cammo pants/jacket if i want to go lighter. Been thinking about dropping the ghillie and going for something in line with the ghillie top majorghost posted about. Vest/belts: None at the moment, working on different solutions to go with the ghillie, (one mag on the field yes, played small games this season) Shoes: Vibram five fingers SPYRIDON LS, just love them, (low ankles in combination with low finger socks do pose a cammo issue tho) Misc: As good as empty at the moment Backup setup used when not feeling like using the tib(the weirdest reasons can come up)... SP-1 -Staco tank -ofset reddot -sp 20 inch tactical barrel with a slip on silencer (works great since it the barrel has a long porting section, it was also quite silent to begin with, witch helped) -q-loader -1-3 pods in belt on field -possibly kneepads, tho the once i have feel too bulky (was some nxe ones i got cheap a couple of years ago) Why I chose this setup Well, The tibby is new for me this season so I'm still changing stuff around, picking up parts and gear pieces from the boxes at home or buying stuff as I wan to try out different setups. Changing stuff sometimes has a adverse effect on the game play, but usually one knows quite quick if one likes the kit or not. (The paintball project is coming on quite slow, since there's always a lot of other stuff that needs to be done, including work)

I've got one of those silencers. Not to take away from this thread. So could you start another thread describing what you did and what you suggest not doing. I'm interested. I'm sure others are too.

Honestly it's pretty straight forward, saw off the outer pipe (no way to take it apart except that). Then use the inner pipe to make the silencer you have to replace the outer pipe with a new one, but honestly you would anyways since you need more room between the inner and outer pipe

yep, and some heat can help with getting the end caps to loosen, don't go over the top tho. drill some holes in the inner pipe. Re use front end cap if you want, wrap some medium of some sort around it and fit a outer pipe, with the back end open... and that's a decent silencer that stays aligned thx to the threading. could post some pics if your interested but now I'm just too tired, wolfen had me running all day

Thanks you inspired me. Taking a slightly different approach which won't cause the destruction of a useless Tiberius silencer; but, it is based on what you described. I'll see if this works once the EOtech shows up. I'll test both (not at the same time of course; but probably the same day).
What I decided to do was to take the flasc which cause the inaccuracies and gut it. And, then just leave the back off. It came with a useless (added not function only weight shell with many holes, just for looks supposedly) metal, aspirated shroud. Well I'm using that, providing the air/shockwave an unobstructed transmission path away from the tip. If it works, I'll provide pictures.
My definition of "works" is twofold. First, it does not impact accuracy. Then secondly that it deadens the sound. that should only take about 24 first strikes (at most) to determine. 8 rounds without the silencer, 8 rounds with. If there is not impact on accuracy then 8 more to check sound quality. What do you think.

That's what i call an empirical study.

I might be misunderstanding here but reading how you are constructing it without a dampening medium, and only one chamber open to the back, the impact on the sound might only be directional, so i suggest that you have someone stand in front off the barrel to listen to the difference, since I guess it would direct the sound towards you, you might think it's louder, while someone downrange would hear it less, and have trouble pinpointing the sound source. At least that's my experience.

If it works, I'll consider some light packing. My theory now is that if the porting is off or partially blocked in spots, it can cause shot to shot variances. So, if first I can just vent 50-70% of the sound out the back, I'll be happy.
VoodooAddict told me he wanted to come by and see this new configuration (and, I think he's wanting to try out the EOtech). So, I'm going to wait one more hour (tops) and then get out back and try these things out. My problem is, you are right, if its just me there, it may not sound much different. But, with someone else there, I can go downstream and listen to the different sound signatures.

Well, no voodoo; so, no sound check. But, it sounded really different to me behind the marker. So, it might have been working and I saw no degradation in the shot pattern (very tight 3 inches).
So I switched to no tip (very tight 3 inch pattern but just to right of target by maybe 1 inch - some right on target). So, I tried a different tip (birdcage) tight but in a different spot (lower right). I wasn't trying to zero the scope at this point so I made no adjustments. Went inside and came back out with the M50 tip.
First shot was high by 5 inches (that must have been me). All the rest (7 of 8 from the new mag) were same tight pattern with a couple bullseyes. So, that's where I stayed with the Hawke and the M50 on my hammerhead for the deaf leapord (it is still such a joy to shoot and to watch the round through the scope as the come into view and then strike the target.
So, for the moment (until i have more time), I'm not going to play with the silencer - I'm going to go play woodsball! No more testing for me.

I came to a new revelation last night. The Flasc suppressor I so loved; the one that was ruining my long game, well, that might still work in my CQB engagements. It added a little variation at 50 yards and above; but below 50, say around 30-40 meters or less, it might not produce any noticeable change in pattern with my handheld MP7. So, today, I might go downstairs and resurrect the Flasc.

@Wolfen, you had a great idea on "Complete Setup 2012." Do you think the rest of this community doesn't have a setup; or, are just Canadians and gypsies that can't read?
Under new federal guidelines set forth by the Obama administration, "...if you can't afford to pay someone to read to you, a reader will be provided at no charge." So, canadians and gypsies, there is no longer any excuse. Gypsies, just send us your address and we'll have someone come by personally to assist you!

You guys all seem to have just about the same set-ups. So, I think that's what I should get. I like Allu's the best. I want to buy a gun so, I'm going to go online and search for stuff now. Is it ok to buy used. I worry about getting ripped off. I only have a part time job after school every other day at a pet store.

Almost all of my gear is used. Remember, you can ship any of Tiberius's guns to them and will do a complete maintenance overhaul for $20 + shipping. My suggestion is to get something like a used t9.1 Ranger and then add your own accessories. Because of the new first-strike platforms on the horizon, there are a lot of used T9.1s out there for sale on the Tiberius Forum.

Currently and previously(since im building my stash back up) I use
Marker: currently an a5 with freak kit Mask: currently some cheap Walmart one but I had a dye invasion 2005 Clothes: set of woodland bdus. I previously had woodland camo, desert bdus and 6 ghilles Shoes: currently Bates paratrooper boots from the military I used to wear black work boots Vests /belts: I've always worn vests. I started with a cheap vest that had a presetup then switched to a mole vest with random pouches changed out to suit my needs I am currently looking a blackhawk omega utility vest
Why: it's what I'm comfortable with. It suits me and my play.
My backup: currently none but until it got destroyed I carried my sl68 2 that had been shortened up

Yummmm... I like this thread. My second post here at ACES after spending too much time reading old posts... Currently I have a T9 with FS upgrade kit and the Lapco T9 FS barrel running on CO2 with a KillJoy APR2- TruGlow xbow 4x32 scope. Found out I really need HPA and a riffled barrel to move into sniping so Ill be selling this setup or moving it to pistol setup. Shooting approximately 80 fs through it I have realized the consistency isnt there. I blame CO2 and non-riffled barrel. Groupings are decent on the average though. I run with Army BDU's in the southwest US (Arizona) and they work well for desert and woodland (higher desert, lol). 4 mags, 2 pouches, I like belts, light and quick. Will be getting a dump pouch, kinda undecided on which. Ill be buying some condor boots soon as running scenario style (all day play) through rocky washes here just destroys my feet and ankles. I am building out my T9.1 soon (after it arrives). With the help of this thread I have gleaned vital info and am looking for feedback of a non-degrading and non-sexual nature (ahh-hem you 2 know who you are, well at least 1 of you do )... well ok, some sexual innuendos are tolerated ;-) Stock T9.1 with a 13 ci tank-in-stock. Used for FS only. > My APR2 stripped of T9 above > Add Lapco riffled or Hammerhead riffled (which to order ) > Would like to move tank-in-stock HPA to side mount or under front rail ? (see conversation at TA forum with Chicago) > Add Hawke XB 30 scope > Add KillJoy ROC stock (so I can get behind the scope better, have experienced this issue). I have seen that the HPA should be set to 480 output pressure (is that stock on the 13 ci tank-in-stock unit?) and read elsewhere that best chrono should be 240 for best FS performance. At this point I am not looking at a silencer. Maybe later. Maybe not. I am at a impasse for which barrel to order. Any opinions are welcome and if I missed anything please chop-chop :-) I have not settled on the build out entirely of hardware and soft goods. Only been in PB for a little over a year now but love it. Been running with and A5 and egrip mostly cuz I just havent gotten into many scenario fields where there is lots of room to play and hide. However that scene has changed in AZ now and I will be traveling more to games in surrounding states as well. TIA The Dawg
