So I am looking at buying a fs marker for scenarios. I find myself playing them more and more so I can justify an fs marker. I am looking at the 500-700 maybe a little more. I want semi auto and a well established company. I'm still not sure how I feel about the t9 being basically a modded pistol.

Well its good, but it has a bit limited ammo, and the mags are a bit of a hassle. Basically it boils down to your playstyle.

I generally play a support roll to small squad spec ops. Generally not on my own. I considered the sar 12 but because of the price I decided against it. If it was semi I would prob spring for it and how carmitech is around for good. I thought about an Mr5 or possibly a t4 but I'm still hoping for something more rifle looking

Based on your budget I'd recommend taking a look at the Milsig M17 XDC. It's still in preorder, but Milsig makes a quality milsim marker. I have the ParaPro and have spent the time zero the scope correctly, size my FSRs (which eliminated my breaks completely), and PM the bolt & Orings regularly. It is based on the Armalite AR-10 platform and is an absolute beast on the field. I use it for an FSR only sniper setup, and have been very impressed with the results.
Some of the things that I think made the investment completely worthwhile:
1. Up to 30 yards away (with minimal crosswind), I can put paint on paint multiple times in a row. 2. My friend stood next to the target 20 yards away while I was zeroing my scope and could not hear the marker cycle. The only sounds he heard were the whistling of the FSR and the impact on target. It is also noteworthy that the marker air/sound signature is suppressed with a Milsig Mock Suppressor (thanks Chicago!). 3. The longest shot that I have taken on the battlefield and put paint on target so far is 97 yards (I ranged it with my rangefinder before I took the shot). 4. I have chrono'd multiple shots in a row and seen it hold tighter than +/- 1 FPS. Usually it holds +/- 0.5 FPS, which is very impressive consistency.
If you are willing to spend the extra cash, it is a great marker for mag fed, especially for First Strikes, and I would recommend it every day of the week and twice on Sunday. The only advantage I can see of the M17 model is the fully automatic selection, but I am likely to never use FA with FSRs. I am actually looking at getting the M17 CQC model for round balls.
Let us know what you settle on, and happy hunting!

I second Milsig for the brand to get. I also have a parapro and it is amazing with first strikes. I have not shot the M-17 yet but since its based on the same heat core system it should do well. For the money id go with the m-17 base model and dress it up with stuff rather than getting the higher up models. Hammerhead barrels are the **** with first strike so id plan to get a mofo or battle/bang stix for it with .686 sizer. As for out of the box functioning my parapro chrono'd at around 290 with first strikes, didn't need to adjust it at all and i ran about 10 mags through it using the new 18 round mags without a single issue, no breaks, no jams. Haven't used regualr paintballs with it yet but im pretty much only going to shoot FSR's with it anyway. Check out Trinity's blog, google "Tango-down sniper blog". He has a ton of useful information regarding first strikes and how to use them effectivly at longer ranges. It will save you a lot of time and money by following his advice. My buddy just got a m17 so ill try to do a side by side comparison of that and my para pro.
