Ok. I need some advice from all of you veteran FS snipers out there. I bought a new Para Pro with the intent of using it as a FS exclusive magfed marker. Current configuation = CATS stock - remoted; Marksman barrel; Milsig suppressor.
I took it to the range today to give it its first test fire and zero the scope. Overall feel is great - the marker is well-balanced and is high quality construction! Efficiency and consistency seems to be at the upper end as well. I chrono'd it out at 280 fps with less than 0.5 fps variation (most impressive ). I have one major issue: my scope is a 6 x 32 UTG mil dot - nothing fancy, but very effective. I maxed out the adjustment and still had to aim approximately 8 - 10 mil above the man-sized silhouette just to get the round on paper at 50 yards; yet my trusted 416 98C still nailed the target at 50 yards with round balls.
My question is this: Do i need to invest in a different optic or am I missing some small detail? I thought maybe I need to zero it at a longer range, but wanted to get some feedback from those of you who have been through this part of the process already with FS rounds. I've zeroed scopes on rifles before with no issue, so my guess is that I'm overlooking something.
I'm anxious to put this thing to use, because just eyeballing it (Kentucky windage style) with no sights/optic, I could accurately lay paint on targets 80+ yards with no issue. That and this could possibly be the sexiest marker I've ever put my hands on (and I love my Tippmans)!
I'd appreciate any feedback!

It sounds like you need to shim the scope a little. I've had problems trying to use a scope with no adjustable riser since paint drops a lot faster than real bullets do. An adjustable riser would be the ideal solution since you can adjust for different ranges. The other option would be to get a crossbow scope such as the Hawke since they are designed around projectiles with similar arcs. I had no problems with my Hawke but with my Bushnell on the same marker, I've got it maxed out and still hitting way to low.

Dude. I knew it was a small detail! Thanks for the suggestion. I don't do bow hunting or crossbows so I would never have made that leap in logic. Shimming will be easy. Thanks again.
