I was pleasantly surprised by the arrival and unboxing of the phenom from of all places Rap4. Also took her out back. Fired regualr paintballs at 30 yards almost dead on and at 275 fps. Swithced to first strikes, chrono jumped to 315 fps but couldn't really adjust cause she's breaking every other round. Need to do some investiagting. If we ran magfed roundies right now, I could take her out to CPX this weekend. Hopefully by then, I'll have figured out the First Strike problem. Extras: riffled barrel Milsig Silencer Eotech sight that can't be adjusted up or down but is dead on for paintballs at 275 fps and 30 yards. oh, and two small riser so my mask fits when sighting! and a box of ten, twenty round mags: Very light weight, very nice marker, I'm impressed!

Might be the bolt that is causing you problems with the first strikes. Know i read about the mods needed on the bolt somewhere but can't remember where (you have to reshape the bolts tip so that it looks more like the T9.1 bolt). Here is a link with atleast some info and a picture magfedpb.com/savoy-6-develops-firststrike-bolt-for-mkp/

From over on Tiberiuys forum: You can either wait on TechT or take your stock bolt and Tiberius bolt to a machine shop and have them taper it.
My only issues so far is that there seems to always be something we need to do to these kits to make them work as advertised. If they are not First Strike ready and you do not have everything ready to make them First Strike ready do not advertise them firing full auto First Strikes! Bought 2 DMag Upgrade kits so I could shoot First Strike rounds and then over a month after their release they mention you really need stiffer springs. Kind of frustrating but at the same time Omar is going above and beyond to make mag fed available and affordable to the masses! And, my response: Man, do I agree. With all the mods I have to make they are not FS ready and not compatible not even with aftermarket products! Very false advertising! Basically, I was sold a First Strike marker that is not a First Strike marker and, they've know about this all along. And are still selling it that way! I finally buy something from crap4 and got exactly what I asked for and everyone warns you about a pile of crap! Moral of the story: Don't buy from crap4! What else are they selling that is really false advertising and just crap!

Hope this works. A video that shows how to fix the "other" problems (but not the bolt). Wish that guy shot first strikes!
Since using the phenom a little more I saw everyone of the problems described in that video, and very logical simple fixes!

Fixed my DMag problems (breaking first strikes). Not a single break today. Will field test this weekend. Very excited. Oh, the newer MK II kits from RAP4 don't need the first mod (Omar must have seen the kid's video). And I did the second mod (the mag release). Wasn't hard; but still you can push it too far. I got another idea about that, but later. I don't like making too many changes at one time
Will field test this weekend before I tell you what I did. You'll all get a good laugh. All this time and all these genius gun desginers and the simpliest solution works. Guess I shouldn't brag til I get another 80 more rounds through this weekend (only 4 mags converted!) But, if I go 200 rounds and no breaks that is better than I get with the Tib/Lapco 0.683 riffled barrels.
Oh, and I threw a hammerhead for the TiPX with rifled barrel (and a milsig silencer) on it and at 50 yards (standing, not rest or bracing) was getting sub 5 inch patterns (without really trying) and very consistent chronos of 276 out of the hammerhead. Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper now! Oh, and I'll have to come up with a "silent" name for her!

Won't be field testing today. It's raining here and radar says CPX will be trenched by noon. I want to get 200 FS thru the X7 phenom before I try extreme conditions!
What do you think of Repeated Silence or the Silent Ghosthunter as a name for her. Along time ago, I think Allu came up with the later. And I was thinking of Repeated Silence because I get 18 first strikes from her before I change mags!

Hey Chicago, did you have your phenom bolt tapered? If not, what did you do to solve the FS breaks?

No, haven't tapered the bolt. Was thinking about selling the solution so I haven't told anyone yet!

You should just try it first...it might be fine; but, I'd bet against it. Pm me when you are totally frustrated, take the OMA oath, and I might tell you then!

Are you using the stock bolt or a TechT one? I have the bad karma MRT in it at the moment, but I still have the original bolt also.

I'm using the original bolt and bolt spring with no mods there at all. I'll pm you now so you don't have to worry. But, you have to promise: not to tell anyone. I am thinking about selling this little kit.
