LL6 magfed games started today only 2 hour late!

Well, at LL6 today for the magfed games, but, first thing first. was to head straight to the Tippman tent, cause supossedly Eric, had my missing stuff. Engler said he talked to him and he has an envelope with the stuff I needed. He said the Tippman tech, name fails me right now (...remember now Travus) was great (as are all the Tippman guys). They will get me squared away!

So, that's where I went all excited to get the stuf I needed. Well, I ran into the tech guy first seemed nice enough. Said Eric is inside. So in I go! Eric looks at me like I have zombies oozing out my ears. He hasn't seen or talked to Engler in years! And, he has no package to give me!

It gets better, I see the tech outside (with boxes of parts), he seemed nice; so, told him my story, he said "wow, I wish I could help you!" But, I guessed he wasn't authorized to hand out or repair a TiPX with a what! a ten cent part! So, that was my first experience with Tippman at Living Legends; and, hopefully it will be my last! Cause, I'm not buying from them again! Oh, and I thought Tiberius was supposed to be there. My son and I walked up and down and never saw any Tiberius tent!

My youngest son was there with me too. He was using my older boys TiPX with regualr paintballs. He's always been a pump guy; but since pumps didn't begin until this evening he was up for some magfed only pistol play.

While we wandered, we came across MILSIG and they had two of those zetamags for the Tippmans. We asked what they cost and if we could buy some. They (Doug brown) said no, but as soon as that tent across the way opened (we were there bight and early), we could buy them there. We waited they opened and we purchased 4 - 20 round zeta mags.

Of course, my son had to try to use them in the magfed games (but with round paint). He did and to my surprise, he loved them. Gotta go take a shower! I'm exhausted trying to keep up with teenagers, 20 and 30 year olds; but, I did ok!

I was planning on using the SARGE today. I saw two other SARGES there!

But, no dice/parts; so, I switched to plan "b." A couple people there recognized the Dark Knight cause of my posts here and on Tiberius! My mp7 backup worked flawlessly!

We played Badlum. So my CQB Mp7, the Dark Knight, was perfect. I believe I got someone at over 60 yards (for sure) with a short barrel and an Eotech! Badlum has like three rows of street. I was on the far side (by the hill) saw movement inside a window on the far side of the third street, "kitty" corner to my position but both of us had clear view because of the opening in the center of Bedlum! As soon as he raised his long rifle to the window, I doubled tapped; and, roughly a second later he jumped and yelled out! Made the whole day worth it. Forgot all about the Engler Custom, Tippman, and JazStands problems with the SARGE. Too high right now to let any of them bring me down~

But, I must let people know this. I've never been in a magfed only games like this and a lot of well seasoned opponents were running first strikes too! That and those buildings put a litte brain zap on me. I'm not used to people shotting mostly first strikes at me! It was cool and I think it raised the game to a new level and helped improved my game. Meeting your opponent in the doorway and not the woods, was awesome! Much faster, in my opinion, than speedball! And, only one person continues on after a hail of first strikes from both side!

Lucky for me, my trained sniper ears heard the sound of gravel just before he entered the door and I was already set to splash the tango down!

Wanted to mention that I was hit three times yesterday by first strike. That's what people were shooting- it was great. When I got home I thought I'd see really bad welts and have some soreness. But, less of a welt I've gotten from round rounds and not pain. I hear some people say that first stikes hurt more and cause greater welts.

Not my experience!

I'd say the same thing, in my experience, first strikes don't hurt any more than round paint.

Note: the first pix with the package turned over to the far left is the rubber cover for the second set of ten. That pops off and you either stick that end on the spent 10 side or you use a string so you don't loose it!


This one has one of the mags out (right side) so you can just make out the pusher and in the center about an inch and a half up is that manual release for the projectiles (also can be seen better in this shot of the mag flipped over and still in case (yes, release on both sides):


And, the back ground was the free tee shirt. The front had a neat skull and bones; but, I was too lazy to restage the shot.

That was MidnightAngelz from Tiberius Forum and other fame with the dual pistols at the end of the clip. Those pistols weren't Tiberius. I could not tell from the footage there but he runs zetamags in Tippman pistols now!

Did I mention he's a much better and faster player than I. And, that move got him really lit up! Crazy fun I guess, he's very proud of finally doing it!
