How to buy on line and from whom

Had a problem yesterday. Had been waiting for a rifled Tipx Hammerhead barrel to arrive. When today, I received notice they had none in stock and my barrel, the last one. must have fallen out of the shipping container. Likely story. When I talked to two other baller, they said oh! Doro Sports, "they are the last online company I'd ever buy from. I've always had trouble." They also asked, "Did they give you a tracking number when they claimed they shipped it?" I went back and checked, "no tracking number." So, I don't believe them and wanted other members to be alerted.


On the other side of the coin, I've ordered from Rockstar and have only ever had two problems (in over three years and I buy a lot of paint carp as you can tell) and they've always corrected those two small problems immediately (like that day).

One, just happened the other day, that TipX barell above was for the newest Tippman project and since it's turning it into a First Strike ready marker, I ordered a FS conversion kit. Got it two days ago, orignal barrel didn't even fit in it. Rockstar responded that day and contact Gunhead, the maker of the mod. Gunhead immediately shipped direct to me a replacement. They apoligized and I had a replace that worked in two days! The repalcement works fine!

I've ordered from orderpaintball.com. they are slow but ok and pretty much the same as Rockstar but without the selection.
Zephyr claims to be the biggest paintball on line store but, I never find anything I want there. Amazon has great selection, pricing, and free shipping (like Rocstar). Oh, and terrible, terrible service from OpticsPlanet and Dvor (who is really OpticsPlant rebranded!) I've also benn told by many I respect to stay away from CRAP4. So, I never purchased from them!


So, my three go to stores are:

• Amazon.com (free shipping if prime member) no tax
  
• Rocstar.com (free shipping after $79) no tax
  
• Gunhead.com (don't know about shipping or tax - wasn't charged for either)
  

I also like to order from GMAN1 and Fixxer over on the Tiberius forum.


What are your experiences:

I'll even buy in Canada and overseas so please, all members respond.

I order from Rockstar, DVOR and ANSgear.com.

Had a negative experience from ANS once, but only once and they weren't entirely to blame. However for them to correct the issue would have rated them top dog with me and for very little effort on their part but they refused.

Rocstar has always been superb.

DVOR as well.

Living in phx, ANS can deliver very quickly with standard shipping (free at 100 dollar order). Rocstar takes about 4-6 days depending, but has free shipping at 80 dollars. So its always a toss-up for me. Depends how quickly I want the items.

As far as customer support, the TA forum has always been very helpful.

Since I live in sweden and not the states my options are a little more limited sine some places don't ship internationally. Anyway from the US i have so far ordered from Ansgear and Hustle Paintball. Haven't had any real issues with them so haven't had to much to do with their customer support (only thing was once with hustle when there was a problem with a barrel but i think they handled it well) shipping is a bit less expensive from Ans (and for some reason i rarely have to pay tax for shipments from them) but I think hustle has a bit more stuff (at least the kinds I'm interested in).

If i don't find the items i need at our Finnish shop Sissos (Largest nordic distributor) i usually pick em up from Ansgear, always worked superbly, fast delivery even to Finland and i've always found their support team helpful. Also like Archorn i rarely have to pay tax for shipments from ans)

From what I understand about american sales tax laws, you are only required to pay sales tax for online/phone orders if the company has a physical building in the state the order is being shipped to. That's how my company calculates it, anyway.
