Hello all,
So i have been on the fence about a purchase.
I have heard that using a 9.1 rifle vs running two 8.1's is better for long shots./ which would make sense, but I have also heard that the 8.1's are more versatile and almost equally as accurate.
So this is my dilemma. What is the most beneficial setup.
I want to beable to make sniper shots but will it make that much of a difference? If you have any ideas or experience,. i would greatly appreciate it
(I would be running purely first strokes on either set up)
thank you all

Do, what one of my son does. Get one of each. Last year, he ran his T9.1 as a psitol along with his T8.1. This year, he's converting the T9.1 back to a rifle for more long balling. You cannot turn an 8.1 into a rifle (the closest you can get is an MP7 setup); but, you can turn a T9.1 into a pistol!

As chicago suggested, one t9.1 and one t8.1. That way you have the possibility to easily convert to "rifle mode" for longer shots. Here's my reasoning: Even tho the pistol technically is as accurate (correct me if you guys know I'm wrong) there are a couple things to consider. Firstly one might presume that you run co2 with the pistols, this in turn seems to inspire fluctuations in fps thus resulting in inaccuracy and secondly shooting a pistol has less contact points to your body, thus generally resulting in a more unstable platform, witch results in, you guessed it, inaccuracy. That is the reason for wanting a rifle of some sorts, i guess the mp7 solution might be a stable enough platform for long balling to since it would offer more stability. Speaking of solutions, if you don't mind the remote lines, i guess you could run two lines from one tank to both pistols, thus eliminating the co2 downsides. (Don't remember how and if the t8.1 supported remote air, info if you have it guyz ) As for versatility, I'm pretty sure the t9.1 wins that one as it is a modular system, it is however a bit more expensive. Another thing to consider regardless of one t9. one t8.1 or 2 t8.1 is the .1 thing as mags, if i remember correctly, are not compatible between t9/t8 and t9.1/t8.1. So if you get a t9.1 you need to get a t8.1 and not a t8, as in the later scenario the t9.1/t8.1 mags wont fit in a t8. Same thing for the barrels, however could someone confirm that t9.1 and t8.1 barrels fit between each other. This is of course if you want to play with dual pistols also. If you ONLY want to make the long shots, go for only one t9.1, that way you can also try playing with one pistol and see how that is, and if you like it you can pick up a t8.1 later Basically just a longer version of chicagos post Do go ahead and ask more questions if there are things you wonder about, and when it comes to choosing accessories for long shots there are many ways to go depending on what you want to do on the field, luckily we have people here that have markers and accessories for every occasion

I can help support what Allu said, Because I use remote kit on my 8.1s (yes plural). Remote kit costs about $30 and is easy to install if you have the newer T8.1. Second thing that helps you get better acccuracy with an Mp7 is the stock and a real foregrip fits underneath. And, no one says you can't use a long barrel in an Mp7. So, you can always go that route if you can find an Mp7 shroud. This is the shroud that your t8.1 goes inside of: and, here's one with the T8.1 inside and an eotech on the top with the collapseable stock: So, if you want to start out "cheap" just get the T8.1 pistol. Try it as a pistol and look look for an Mp7 shroud try to be "sniper like" with the same weapon. Then you could decide if you want to buy a second pistol or a T9.1 riffle! (thwe mags are interchangeable T8.1/T9.1, so are the barrels and the paint). I've tried two pistols. Unless you are gifted and I'm not, one of two things happens. You shoot both pistols and hit nothing or aim with one pistol and then the other (yes, first one then the other); but, I favor one hand and tend to shoot the pistols one at a time. Now, with a stock and a long barrel and a magifying scope, I can hit a fly at over 100 feet and then double tap his ***! I now use a pistol only as a backup piece when I use my SR1 (cause, it hurts to get overrun and bunkered!) But, whatever you do remember two things, this is just paintball. Have fun. And, two, if you are like most ballers, you will change your setup frequently.

Wow, you guys have given me much to think about, thank you for taking the time and energy to help me make this decision. This board is continuing to give me great info. Im sure i will have more questions before I make the leap to invest in a marker.

So i have come to the conclusion that the best choice here is purchase the 9.1 Considering i have the option of a pistol and a rifle.
now, Im sure you guys have done the price checking. So i'll ask. what is the best deal?
My options are : the ranger, elite, sniper. The set up of the sniper looks amazing and comes with the tank stock. which just makes sense. And looks great. Also you get the scope. (Pretty much the important aspects I wont want to live without)
my question is. How is the scope? Quality? would it be better to buy an after market scope? or to buy the tank stock seperate to save money? what are all of your thoughts?
thank you again for your thoughts guys:)

The Ranger is the cheapest (not in a bad way, but in dollars). In my opinion, it is the best. You get eveything you need (and none of the crap you don't need - like a red laser you can't use at a paintball event and can't see during the day). Then, with the money you saved, you can find yourself a good scope. I've never had or used the one that comes on the Tiberius but, I've seen and looked thru it in paintball stores. Too dark and heavy for me! Second best is the sniper version. Adjustable rail and riffled barrel (but, be prepared to only shoot first strikes). Any of the Tibs that are 8.1 or 9.1 based (not T4.1) all have the same interiors (same parts - basically the same marker). They just put other crap on it for marketing purposes. If you can wait til July, (but that is only a rumor). Tiberius is supposedly releasing their T15. If you can wait, you'll be glad you did! and, here's another pix:

I have heard of the T15. And have also seen the T4.1
But i dont think i can drop 800$ on a marker alone. Which im sure the T15 will be just as, or more expensive as the T4.1
If you have any rumors or info on the price, Im all ears.

Everything I have heard about the T15 has indicated that the T15 will be significantly cheaper than the T4(.1), most likely in the 500-600 dollar range.
