Magnificient idea, Get the bore size change please! And, weight if you have a scale!
Nice pattern! go farther (casue they are tighter in the barrel)! I'm thinking I'll paint the inside "dayglo orange" and then turn around flip the paintballs and paint the fronts "dull brown." You are becoming my muse Casper. And, in my opinion undispute video King.!

Real nice to see it work casper^^ I agree with chicago that the bore size change and weight would be useful. (if you want i can try to make a "range table" for the painted rounds if i get the average weight and bore)
How did you paint the rounds? and what type of paint did you use?
Oh and do you notice any paint residue in the barrel? (might want to try firing a few into something that won't break them (a loosely draped bed-sheet maybe?) and inspect the rounds to see how much if any paint was scraped off

No barrel residue. Not really interested how the paint on the rnd held up.It does it's job lol.Weight and all will be done next time.I used some flat black krylon.I painted a few completly. The rest were given a dusting on the tips(sprayed).

Yes, fragments off the round might effect trajectory. So, may be a base/etching coat on the plasitic part, not the fin. Fin wraped in masking tape, and them and actual coat of some really durable type top coat! Depending on the boar, it should not effect the fins or the rounds.
A Tiberius/Lapco, we know chews on the fins and might actual effect the dome as well! Painting and using the in a T/L 0.683 will tell us soemthing though.
Just wanted to tell you all this is the most exciting paintball forum out there. And it is so forward thinking and innovative. Keep up these great posts.
Have you noticed lately the plethra of new posts by a diverse audience?

Thought of something, it probably doesn't affect much but it might be a good idea to get a paint that has a surface as smooth as possible since the rougher it is the more air resistance it will generate (if i don't make sense i probably mixed up the words (bit tired))

What do you think about nail polish?

Would probably work great aa though it might be hard to get an even coat on the first strikes (i think so at least, you use a brush for that right?) I think the best thing would be if it is something kinda cheap you can use with a spray brush (or what ever they are called) or similar (spraycan perhaps?) since that probably makes it a bit easier to get an even coat (and a thin or weak coat would be prefered since first strikes can be hard to get to break some times even without adding extra material that might strengthen it)

I'm thinking I'll paint the inside "dayglo orange" For night games, I'd paint the inside with glow-paint, and drill a small hole on the mag and put a UV LED to charge the paint up. Tracers that only you can see!
