So a local shop was having a sale and I stopped in looking to pick up some 12grams and tubes and such, and they had Kingman's new First Strike ready markers sitting on the wall. Originally I had thought about picking up the MR5, but after handling it for a couple minutes I discovered that due to the air line the mag release button was an obnoxious distance from my trigger finger. Then I picked up the Hammer 7, and realized how great it was. Because the ASA on the Hammer 7 is at the back of the body rather than under the grip there was no air line obstructing the mag well or moving the mag release farther from the trigger guard. Take how great it felt and add in the sale price of sub-100$ I couldn't resist. Pretty much a christmas present I bought myself Haven't used it in a game yet, taking it out for some recball on monday though. Just regular paint (indoor field), plan to use it with a pocket hopper and we'll see how it goes. Depending on how it feels it might become my go-to First Strike marker, I'll have to pick up a few more mags though. Anyone else picked up one of these markers as a gift-to-yourself or just for kicks?

I've been very tempted. So please keep us up-to-date on your progress. Is it semi or can it go fully atuomatic? And what size are the clips again? Sorry, I'm an old man.

the Hammer 7 is the pump version, internally it is a nelson.

so as I said I would, took it out, shot it for the day, and I have to say...so far...I am very impressed.
I used it with a 50 round hopper and a 12oz co2 tank, as well as a shorter no name barrel that sits significantly closer to flush with the pump handle. I'll throw up some pictures at some point.
I shot less than a bag of paint, probably 350 or 400 rounds. I didn't get a single break in the breech or the barrel all day. Very impressed. Usually there is at least one or two.
Spent some time at the chrony range, put a couple mags through, no problems there either, but I am still not a fan of the spring release needing a second motion.
Lastly, what I noticed is that the marker is incredibly loud. I'm sure that being at an indoor field made it seem somewhat louder, but even so, the TPX and T9.1 that my teammates were using sounded like whispers next to it.
All in all, I am very impressed with it as a 130$ marker.

I plan to get one too. I already bought an old Armson rifled barrel 16" long. Found that its bore is very good for FSR they even rotate inside

It was a nice marker, but pump didnt have the same spark that my pistols had.
I'm currently looking into another FS dedicated marker.
