Ok, so I had purchased a T9 pistol a while back and never really got into playing with it. I find it too large to wield as a pistol ... at least for me it is.
So I am turning it into a rifle and going FS... FINALLY
Any advice for a first time Tiberius owner?

Dial in your sights, dial in your sights, and dial in your sights.
Did I mention that you should dial in your sights?
In all seriousness though, you will probably go through about a box of FS rounds just to dial in whatever scope/sight you decide to use, and it is a must if you are going to be shooting FS rounds.
As for other advice...treat it nice and it will treat you nice.

ok, lol. I thought so. I am so used to using iron sights it will take me some time to get used to using a scope. I am more than familiar with scopes, more so on rifles.
I don't want to get Tiberius's adjustable rail thingy because the thing looks huge. Has anyone else just mounted the scope and adjusted the angle using another method? Shims?

HELLo! I would most definitely recommend the adjustable riser, especially if you're going to use a scope on it. (Which I also recommend, btw.) Even if the First Strike rounds fly incredibly accurately, they still do drop quite a significant amount over longer distances. So you could very well end up having to aim about a meter and a half above someone's head, just to be able to maybe hit in the centre mass. Mounting the scope without any form of riser will not work at all, at least as long as you're playing with a stock. The mask will get in your way, and prevent you from laying your cheek close enough. This is particularly true if you're going to use the Air-in-stock solution, as it's a bit thicker than the normal car stock, and as such will make it hard to use the regular tri-rail riser even. Even with an I4 you'll get this issue. This reason alone is enough reason to buy the adjustable riser, in my opinion at least. ;-) Another recommendation I have is to get the Lapco/Tiberius rifled barrel. Haven't tried it yet, but any increase in consistency is more than welcome when using First Strike. However, the best tips I can give, from personal experience are these: - Take it apart and oil it up properly before starting to play with it, and make sure everything works smoothly.
- Always remember to push the bolt forward after removing the regulator & trigger assembly from the receiver. Always! Forgetting this will make the marker act as if there is no propellant connected, even though it's fully aired up.
Very easy to forget, and if you do you'll have to take the trigger assembly off again to make it work.
- When inserting the mag, give it a smack on the bottom for the last little bit if you're using the CO2 cartridges.
Should you fail to push the CO2-nipple into the mag valve with sufficient force the mag will be ejected again, usually with a ball lying loose inside the handle. See next tip in this case.
- Whenever you release a magazine which has not been emptied, always check the breech for a loose ball. I can guarantee you that there'll be a ball lying in the barrel, either fully inserted or halfway inside. Remove this ball before inserting another mag.
Failure to do so will jam the marker, and most likely break the First Strike round inside the breach.
Should you break a ball inside the chamber, always remove all of the hard shell before attempting to remove the barrel. It's very easy for it to get stuck between the barrel and receiver body otherwise, something that will require a complete disassembly to fix and clean up. Even if it's not broken, do pick it out before attempting to remove the barrel. This is from personal experience, as I managed to actually crush a round against the receiver body when I tried to remove the barrel to pick it out. It hadn't loaded properly, and was caught slightly outside of the barrel breach. The worst "crunch" sound I've ever heard. :-( Happy snipin'!

Wow, good info!
Good to know about the adjustable rail mount. I might have to get one now.
Question: for the adjustable rail, typically how much of an angle are players using? I understand it all depends on engagement distance, but on average what degree of angle is used?

I don't know the angle, but I normally use between 0-9 clicks on the wheel. Never really use anything above 9. At 300 ft I use 6-9 clicks, at 100-200 ft I use 3-5 clicks, and at close range I use 1-2 clicks. This all depends on if I'm using FS, regular paint balls, and what fps I'm using. The numbers I mostly use are between 4-7 clicks.

So, I took the advise and order the adjustable raiser. Can't wait until I get all the parts!

HELLo!
Glad I could help. :-) Hope you'll find everything to your liking when you get the parts, and if you have any further questions please don't be shy about asking.
As for the "can't wait" part; I know, trust me! Got a T9.1 Sniper lying in the hallway, waiting for a friend of mine to pick it up and unwrap it. He's too slow, I wanna see it now! :-P
Happy snipin'!

Its heavy with the raiser, but that's a huge part of the accuracy.

Its heavy with the raiser, but that's a huge part of the accuracy. I can imagine but it's one of those things you just need to invest in.
