Many snipers choose to enforce a "Fire and Move" philosophy when it comes to paintball. During a normal scenario situation, once you eliminate a player you have a small time frame before they tag back in and either choose to come and find you or tell everyone else where you are. This presents an interesting challenge for the paintball sniper. Do you eliminate and disappear like a phantom or do you build yourself an impenetrable fortress and welcome all challengers?

Depends on the situation and how protected I am in my hide. If I am in a place of "domination", i.e. I can be safe while I shoot then I will stay put.
Typically I stalk. Shoot the target, then ex-filtrate. Its German tank maneuver "shoot and scoot". LOL

Since i play a pretty aggressive type of sniper i generally disappear after a elimination. My tactic is more to move myself into a good spot to take out a target rather then lay down somewhere and hope a target will come. That being said if i find a really good spot with good kill zones and escape routes i can bunk down. Even then i'll move if i ever think my concealment is blown.

HELLo!
Most of the time I tend to sit (read: lay) around for a few minutes, unless there is some immediate danger, waiting to see if there are any other targets of opportunity that comes into view attracted by the shot. If not, and I feel that my position might be compromised, I tend to relocate. If I'm under heavy fire, or expect heavy fire, I either find a ditch to lay down in or relocate to some other safe position.
Luckily, most of the time people aren't able to pinpoint my position from 1 or 2 shots alone. So I don't do them the service of moving when they're looking for me. ;-)
Happy snipin'!

I guess there is a fine balancing point to moving. Too much and you blow your cover too often. Too little and you might get found.

I rarely do "placement" sniping. But like others have said, its situation dependent.
I am more of a roaming sniper, but if the mission calls, I do sit and wait.
