I'm curious how many first strikes would actually make it out of the barrel. It's a great concept, but in my eyes it's kinda like Mac users installing windows on their system.

Anyone hear any updates in this? Just speculation and rumors. I just don't see how anyone could make a conversion kit for the TPX without doing some serious body mod. |

Actually i saw the installation video and all you needed to do was switch out the barrel breech and then use d-mags. looks like tiberius's hold on the first strike usage might be hanging in the balance.  |

Ah so they did get one working? That's good news for TPX users. Bad news for Tiberius but I have a feeling that the rounds will still work better out of a marker they were designed to be used in. (guy on my team was telling me the internals would have to be gutted to make it work so I was taking his word on it) |

They're going to be selling more paint and while the ability to shoot FS might be a factor for some there is a good chance that many are still making their choice based on other factors. -If I was buying a new pistol marker and thinking of FS, I'm likely to get the marker that has it out of the box. -If I already own a pistol marker I probably bought it based on something like the ability to swap air and paint at the same time, cheaper mags, barrel compatibility etc. I think Tiberius comes out in the end. I would hope it means a slight drop in price without a reduction in quality. But hey, if it drops too low I suppose I'll lose that great distance advantage I have on the field when everybody else is using it. |

It would be interesting to imagine first strikes becoming so main stream that it created it's own category of woodsball.

We released our Gunhead TPX First Strike adapter recently. We are very proud of the results. gunhead.com/gpb/index.htmlHowever, there are a few issues with a TPX and First Strikes that should be covered for those considering the conversion. - The stock TPX barrel is not a good choice for FS. You should use a barrel kit with a size 0.688" bore. - High pressure TPXs works ok, but the low pressure mod works best with first strike rounds. Some of our customers have had some issues with modding their clip. In most cases, the top 3-4 FS rounds work fine. The ones that follow have a hard time getting through the clip. - We are currently working on a kit that will make the FS rounds feed perfectly through the magazine. Anyone already shooting first strikes from their TPX, what issues are you having? Perhaps Gunhead can help fix them. GHPB |

Thanks for coming by and bringing the good news. I can't claim that I'll be making the switch from my Tac 8s but it's great to see the FSR gaining more support.
