Hi ACES. So my family and I just got back from our trip to yellow stone and glacier on monday. Sorry it took me so long to do this, my photobucket account was having problems. Any way, we did all the geisers, mud pots, springs, the cannon, and other stuff for the first 4 days with out much incident. On our last day in yellow stone we got stuck in a two hour traffic jam behind buffalo. Some one decided to put a chip in one of the fresh buffalo chips on the road. After that ordeal we drove my dad to the airport near the tetons, since he had to go back to work. My mom and I then drove to glacier. Due to the %500 snow fall the had had that year, we couldn't go to the top. Instead we kind of just drove around the lake areas, and lodge pole. Near lodge pole we saw a mountain lion. I only had about 10 seconds to snap a picture, so it's a little fuzzy. We also saw a tone of dear and a few mountain goats. From there we drove home. On the way we stopped at a fire work store and got some fire works from the colorado legal section they had. We got mostly fountains and sparklers. The biggest one is called UNDER WATER FURRY! Here's some of the best photos from the trip.

By the way, 0285 has a remarkably fine art quality to it. This is the type of things that my instructors would have eaten up and asked for seconds. You've obviously got talent, perhaps you'd be interested in pursuing something like underwater photography. It's some of the most challenging work you'll ever do. Very rewarding. Very beautiful.

I thought about it, but I'd rather go into marine biology. I do want a dive housing for my camera, but they start at $1000. I was thinking about printing some of my pics off to sell at an art festival in a little town in the mountains called Estes park. Most of them I could blow up to 3 ft. I don't mind posting some of my other work if you guys want.

To give you an idea, I actualy took 15 or more of each photo at different angles and exposures. In total I took more than 4000 photos, but I only got 150 good ones, and 15+ supurbe ones. My key to success in photography is taking pics of every thing you see, your bound to get some good ones. I also try to avoid editing photos out side of croping and color boost.

Something I highly suggest to people wanting to improve their photography is to pick up a film camera. You can get one for under a hundred bucks these days (good quality) and film is fairly cheap as well. It teaches you to really look for that great shot in everything because you have so few frames in which to work with.
It's a good exercise for anyone who shoots digital. It hones the mind into pre visualizing the shot. Feel free to post more work, I'd love to see it.

I started with a little film camera that you could only control the shutter speed. Never got an amazing photos out of it, but it was still fun to use.
