HELLo! As the title hints at I'm looking for a holster for my Tib 9.1 (Ranger + adj. riser & scope), so that I can put it on my back and have it locked there for hands free. I'm not looking for a sling, as I want something I can use underneath my ghilly. Something in plastic, with a quick-release mechanism would be great. Seeing as the ghilly is only covering my back, shoulders, hands and legs I'm hoping to have something that goes underneath it. Preferably by sliding the marker in from my side, and twisting it up so that it's completely covered by the ghilly. Should something like this not exist, then I'm looking for any tips on how to make it. I've taken some pictures, that (somewhat) showcase the manner of which I'm looking to secure the Tib on my back. Where the first two are the steps leading up to, and into, the holster/harness. And the last two where I lock it into place, as well as the final position of the marker. Though, that said; As long as the final position of the marker is the same or better, and a ghilly hanging on my back wouldn't get in the way of getting it there or out, I'm happy. :-) Anyone that has any tips, ideas or comments on such a setup? Anything constructive, be it negative or positive, is appreciated. PS: I will most likely be getting the 5-point foregrip, or something else that's collapsible. Probably a compensator, or shorter shroud, as well seeing as I don't really need a long rail in front. Happy snipin'!

There's scabbards for real sniper rifles that you put on your back. The ones i used while i was in the army either had the upper part Velcored that would go around the scope securing it to the scabbard while still being easy to take out (not quitely mind you...). The other version i used was a scabbard type that had it's upper end enlarged to fit the scope inside the scabbard (other version the scope sticks out but isn't in the way). and then it's a simple click-strap to make sure it doesn't bounce around. Both these work really well and is very comfortable to use. I'll see if i can find any pictures of the ones i mean. I do know of a website that sells these, but it's a finnish website.

HELLo!
Ah, that does sound very interesting indeed! Thank you. Also, the site being in Finnish isn't a big problem. For that we have Google translate, and we are neighbours after all. ;-)

While google translate seem to have quite a bit of a problem with finnish (i don't blame it...) it's no biggie i can translate everything for you. I'll post links to the items once i get home, as well as a translation of anything impoertant

www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2605071Here are some pictures of the one i mentioned that had the enlarged upper part and a click strap to tighten it (no it's not actually my pictures) i've used this exact one while in the army and it works GREAT. Haven't found any pictures of the one with the velcro and the store i knew that had them is out of stock, however i did find another model that they also have... however, apparently photobucket isn't working right now so i can't post pictures of it. I i'll try later to get the pictures up later.

HELLo! Hmm... Looks quite interesting, not exactly what I had in mind, but seems to be working just as well (perhaps even better). :-) If you're still having trouble uploading the pictures to Photobucket, just send me a PM. I can help set you up with a DB account as well. Happy snipin'!

HELLo! A sling doesn't work very well with a ghilly, and I've experienced that the sling is in the way when trying to aim at certain times. Especially if you have to bring the weapon around to the trigger hand side. Also, I have a three-point sling on my old marker (T98c w/AK-47 kit), and I would like to have the possibility to run with both markers should I be crazy enough. Happy snipin'!

Ah now photobucket is working... This is a more lightweight version of the other one. Might be this one would tangle in a ghillie... i dunno.

HELLo!
Slightly small picture that one, but I do think I can pick out the details of it. So far I'm liking the first one the best, though I'm not sure how the rifle insertion would combine with the ghillie. Going to play tomorrow, so I'll see if I can't get someone to take a couple of pics of me in the ghilie to give you something more solid to go on.
All help so far is much appreciated, make no mistake about it. :-)

I've used the first one with ghillie, works really well but you (atleast we did) have to modify the ghillie by cutting a small opening so that you can easily get out the rifle without any fuss.
Now given i used them with real sniper rifles but it shouldn't really be any different with a t9.1

wingevapen.no is a Norwegian site that at least has Eberlestock as a brand... haven't checked if they got the right version though.

HELLo!
Hmm.. Doesn't look like they have it, but I'll send them an e-mail and hear just to be sure. At least I know what to ask for in the shops around here now, though I doubt they have it; Town's too small. If all else fails, I think I should be able to order it from the Finnish site. ;-)

HELLo!
Hmpf... Seems no-one in town even knows about Eberlestock, much less carry (or willing to order) some of their products. :-( WingeVåpen have also not responded to my mails to them, and that's a very bad indicator for customer support if you ask me. I mean, when they're apparently not interested in selling stuff even, I wouldn't bet on their willingness to provide support on their products.
Which leaves me with only one option: Order it from abroad. Now, I tried to use Google Translate on the site you linked to me above, and you weren't kidding about its inability to translate Finnish; Didn't make a whole lot of sense. :-P Though, if I did catch one thing correctly then it's that they only ship to Finland. Is this so?
All help provided so far has been much appreciated. :-)
Happy snipin'!

hmm while it says that they do ship internationally there's neither a post option for it nor a payment method to support it so i suppose that's a NO they don't ship abroad. i'll see if i can find some other store that sell them. If nothing else works im sure it might be possible for me to act as a proxy buyer and then mail it to you. But lemme see if i can't dig up some site that has them first.

you could try and send these guys a e-mail: "myynti@kivelaoutdoor.com" they're the finnish military and police force supplier and i know that they will atleast ship to sweden (not sure if norway due to the fact that you guys ain't part to the EU). If not then there's several german sites that holds eberlestock

Will do, thanks. Hopefully they're a bit more service-oriented than Winge. :-P I'll let you know how it goes.
