I just looked at this new paintball gun rap4 has introduced. The MCM K1 paintball gun and it looks cool but i have my questions about it.
My main question is what is bullpup?
Where is the hopper?
Why does it have such a weird look?

1.) Bull pup: Bullpups are firearm configurations in which the action is located behind the trigger group and alongside the shooter's face, so there is no additional space for the buttstock as in conventional designs. This permits a shorter firearm length for the same barrel length for improved maneuverability, and reduces weight
2.) The hopper is just above and behind the trigger. Its the round "Tac cap" looking thing. It feeds like a real P90 (notice the long plastic thing in front of the hopper, I believe that is part of the hopper)
3.) It was modeled after existing bullpup designs.
Also, its freakin pricey...$1600

I would say some of the benefits I see from a bullpup are: -barrel starts closer to the trigger meaning you get the same length with a smaller fun -smaller handle with more ammo capacity do to the feed being up top -multiple firing modes -tippmann threads gives it a great deal or barrel options
This is really reminiscent of a tib CQB to me. Although it does hold 43 (or 144 apparently) rounds as opposed to the tibs 8 in the handle
-Air tank is a little smaller at 8ci versus 13ci -Can't fire FSR -Rear stock doesn't adjust -Doesn't have a great place to put an APR, but not really a need without FSRs either
I can't imagine their going to be selling a great deal of these at 1600. I wouldn't mind owning one at around 400 though (perhaps).
I do wonder how they're getting upward of 150 shots out of a 8ci tank though when I'm only getting around 100 out of my 13ci.

The round thing is part of the mag that feeds it and they have 2 sizes a 43 round standard and a 144 round mag. still way to pricey

there is no way to get 144 rounds with a 8ci tank, 13 ci gives you between 110-135 depending on your fps.

I don't think it will sell all that well. It doesn't look worth $1600.

The only people I see buying this are hard core milsim people, and collectors. Not a big market. I do think it's a good first step into the bullpup world.

I would consider it if it was cheaper. The B5 was a good example. It was expensive and was only the shroud. I know poeple will buy it, but I think it will be better to wait for all the bugs to be fixed and for the price to come down.
Also, don't expect it to make it to Canada. I can see it making the "ban" list.

The price is... pricey. As awesome as it is I don't see myself buying one for 1600. I'd do maybe 800 tops.

I will probably pick one up at some point, but not on pre-order, first run or at $1600. I will wait and see how the public receives it and as they work out bugs and start producing more units perhaps the price will come down. I like the concept and support the idea. I like the idea of using this marker for indoor fields and CQB applications.

I like the concept, just not the price tag. I'll probably pick one up from one of the MCB gun whores
