So I have plans on manhandling my old TM-7 and making it able to shoot FSRs. I have some ideas that I will probably implement this weekend. I just gotta find my dremel tool first. More to come. ^_^
UPDATE: I figured I would add more here to describe what I had planned. I noticed that I couldn't really breach feed FSRs into the marker, but when I put them in the barrel, screwed the barrel on, and fired the marker, I was completely amazed at how quiet it was, and how accurately it flew! (FYI, I had my 9" Mofo scenario barrel and Flasc Suppressor on. Its nice that the TM7 has the same threading as the SAR12 that is coming. I have multiple barrel options now. ^_^)
The bolt sits back a little ways from where the rounds enter the marker. I had planned on taking off the shell and taking my dremel to the opening to make the back end square to acompany breach loading FSRs by hand. I was going to test out how it shot as well as how fast I could load and fire it. Eventually, I plan on modifying the feed elbow (plastic that my dremel will eat up) and building a custom 5 or 6 round feed tube to put on it to allow me to not have to breach load the rounds. The replacement elbows aren't expensive, and the slight modification to the shell wont affect the loading ability of the rip clip I have on order to feed regular paintballs. I just have to make sure I do a good job at smoothing the edges up prior to feeding regular paint through it.
I was originally going to plan on using this as a forward recon rifle due to its light weight, minimal sound signature and overall small size by placing a rip clip, 30 round tac cap, and red dot on the top as well as placing whatever barrel I don't use on the SAR 12 on the TM7. I feel that I can turn this into a very quiet, stalker/forward recon rifle perfect for those longs crawls through the brush.
Thoughts and opinions? I would really like all of your input. This will be the first time I mod a marker like this so any advice or input would be helpful. ^_^
