In a recent discussion with the owners of my local proshop we arrived at the topic of "Bolt-on" accessories. What I mean by this are accessories that don't necessarily do anything other than improve the aesthetics of your equipment.
For example: The UMS Compensator...Does't really do anything that is required for the marker to run, but it certainly makes a T8(.1) look alot better.
So my question for you guys is.....If you could have access to absolutely anything what would your ultimate bolt on accessory be?

Night vision top hat!!!! LOL no wait, thats not a bolt on. Honestly I cant think of any. Everything I want/need is useful, not for looks. About the only bolt on's I can think of is an MP kit of sorts. PS, link to night vision top hat www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wTRMCegBfo

HELLo!
Hmm... I think the only thing that could be classified as a "bolt on" in my wishlist, is a custom made compensator/front shroud. The stock one is a bit longer than what I need, and I wouldn't mind something a bit cooler looking. Something that's a bit more wiggle-proof and flush with the rest of the body. ;-)
BTW: Loved that vid, Lt.Col.Vortex. Though, at first I went "WTF" thinking you'd posted the wrong one. :-D
Happy snipin'!

I agree with Hellkeepa "Bolt on" to me says compensator/front shroud, but for me it is actually two seperate bolt ons specifically for the 9.1. First a bolt on version of of a pistol shroud/compensator. A piece of inverted channel stock(to raise the profile with minimal weight) that runs the entire length of the top rail that morphs into a Desert Eagle shaped muzzle(removing unneeded material from inside muzzle end again to keep weight down) with the barrel opening and front sight in it's proper location per astetics (as far as I am concered the current compensators that are out there just come up short).
The second shroud would be for use as a rifle and be very similar to the first except that instead of extending the reciever out into a Desert Eagle muzzle it would have a barrel nut style threading at the end of the reciever that would accept free float type hand guards. Ideally the hight of the channel down the length of the reciever would be matched with the hand guard so you could have a continuous full lenght rail if desired (A bonus to this design is that you can use any length and style hand guard you like). I think if one would go this route then a longer single piece rifled barrel might be desired by some(for both that sniper appearance and for the ability to reach out from behind cover).
I have sketched out the basic idea on some graph paper and it looks like it would work. I don't unfortunately, have any of the machine skills or equipment to make either a reality. I also don't have the technical know how to share my sketch with you all, so a description is the best I can do.
And kind of an after thought here but since money is no object for the purpose of our discussion, then would it be too much to ask for someone to come up wiith a rubberized steal or aluminum lower reciever for the Tiberius markers? The whole slick as snot, zero tactile response graphite composite handgrip is for the birds.
