I was wondering if you guys had seen these? Sport Smoke makes a pretty impressive smoke grenade and having had some experience with them I can say these things are definitely Archangel Approved. I got some hands on at a scenario I played back in January. They fill quick and apparently are cool burning so most parks will allow them.
If you guys play with smoke grenades I seriously recommend these. Something I had a lot of fun doing was taping one to the inside of an ammo box along with a string to the lid. I left it on the road leading away from the enemy CP and sure enough one of their guys picked it up and brought it back to their base. The effect was nothing short of pure delightful chaos. It filled their entire base in minutes and ceased their operation for a good while. Imagine watching people running in and out of smoke yelling "General where are you and what do we do now?" Because it's kinda like that.
I'm thinking about adding a few of these to my inventory. The uses are monumental. Not to mention if you fight in any sort of forested or urban setting these will provide you with the necessary concealment to either move up or evade a full fighting force. I can recall in that same game I got pretty close to the opfors base trying to get past their ID check point. It almost worked but someone carded me about twenty yards out... so I shot them and dropped smoke, retreating to the treeline behind me. By the time everyone else figured out what had happened I was a ghost. The plus side is that the smoke alerted a group on the other side of their base that something was going on. They charged and attacked while everyone was distracted. I watched as the Opfor retreated as they believed they were getting flanked, both from the smoke and the hill. Bob Ross would call that a happy little accident.
They're pricey, but not in relation to other smoke grenades on the market and they work exponentially better. The only downside is finding a field that will allow them, but I find most scenario games don't have a problem. I plan on bringing a few of these to D-Day myself.
Check 'em out.
