Welcome Reaper. This is your first post on the greatest paintball sniper forum on this planet or any other in the known universe, parallel dimension, or mutliverse, just to name a few. Let us know how the kit turns out. My posse and I want to buy one for the Phenom as well. Your typing may be grimm but that kinda goes with your name. Oh, and careful if the major finds us talking act like you don't know us. |

I'm personally looking forward to getting a hold of a few of these. I've been spending a tad too much on paintball lately, so I'm not sure WHEN but it's definitely a future reality for me.

Reaper, thanks for the update. I watched and was originally disappointed because I saw the new mag well had a circular hole not a "D" shaped hole for the feed. But then later, he said the production run would be FS compatible "right out of the box." So, it gives me hope. Looks like it would make an excellent sniper support weapon and as it progresses like the M16 originals to the M16A1s, it might be the new sniper rifle with 20 round per magazine instead of 8. A delrin bolt and a good barrel with first strikes would make it an awesome marker for snipers.
I sure could have used 20 per mag on a couple of occasions last year!

The 20 rd. mag, that comes with the kits is for regular paintballs.
It's the new " D Mags " are the ones for first strike rounds. (July release?)
$50 for 10 (Just hope the price holds)

i think its great that there is going to be another first strike mag fed marker out there, i hope we see a few more in the future from other companies. with that being said the rifles they are mounting these Tacoma kits on dont appeal to me do to their length and size. i would like to see some smaller stuff to compete with how my team mate and i run our T9 markers.

You can use any length shroud you want...... eg.(All X7 shrouds fit the X7 Kit)
The "kit" is just the receiver & a mag.

Also, just in case you don't already know. The 20 round mags are bigger than a "standard" size mag and you will have to buy bigger mag pouches in order to carry them.

These kits sound good, but I'll wait until after everyone has had a chance to "break them in" before I'll even consider getting one. That being said, it's really nice of RAP to keep people updated on the status of the kits They asked on the X7 board if anyone was interested, and we were told that the Admin would likely be getting one for evaluation. All we heard were the crickets getting cold. I have a Milsig, and am very happy with it. Good luck to those who get their RAP kits to work. |
