Just finished testing out a theory I've had a for a while and it's working great! I set up a target range beside my house with a sheet as the backdrop shooting thru a paper target. The FS's hit the sheet and drop to the ground undamaged and ready to use again! I've shot them at least 10 times each now and they are still in good condition. Setting up something like this at your local field could allow you to chrono and not have to waist a lot of valuable FS's, it could also help with the problem of guys not wanting to chrono with FS's and using pb's instead. You could use the same FS all day to chrono with. This is a long drawn out video so you'll probably just want to scan thru it. I also was trying to experiment with lubing the barrel to see if it would help with accuracy. I tried using vegitable oil but that doesn't seem to be the ticket. The group was slightly larger. youtu.be/rk1csqluXeY

Nice setup thanks for sharing. started planning on how to make a portable version that i can use at my home field and another field i use almost as much. Will save me a lot on chronoing/zeroing the scope and it will probably encourage me to do some kind of target practice too since i can do it without loosing all that paint (biggest reason i don't do enough of it) will also help when trying out different setups and doing experiments (as you already have done with the oil).
