You've seen the Flatline, which is cool, but similar to an Apex at 5 clicks. And you've seen the Apex, which is even cooler, since it has 9 levels of spin... And you can twist it to change the flight path. But, what if you put an Apex 2 on the end of a Flatline?!? Then you would have the MonsterSpin Barrel System! CRAZY! Another innovation by Trails of Doom! This thing is SICK. Flattest shots I've seen out to 125 feet! Long distance shots with WAY less drop! And when your opponent ducks behind a bunker, and you know they are there, but they are JUST out of reach with your regular barrel, well you can drop dive bombs on their head, as close as 60 feet away! Literally raining paint on them! By far the most fun I have had with a barrel system! link for mobile www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wJZfHn5w-c

Seems cool. Is it rough on paint?

Logically, you would think it would be hard on paint... but, I haven't broken one in it yet. And I've done everything I can think of to try and break one. Like putting the flatline going one way, and then spinning the paintball the OPPOSITE direction with the Apex. And the it just spins the paint both ways! So you can get it to shoot just like a regular barrel with one spinning one way, then the other offsetting the first spin!
And it doesn't break paint!
Now shooting, that is what is incredible about this system. I've never shot first strikes, so I have no clue what they are like, but I shoot regular paint through an Apex a TON, and I am really good at shooting long range with it. I have a pole that is 200 feet away from me at my house. I aim about 20 feet up on it and I can hit it at around the bottom of the pole (about 5 feet up) So it drops about 15 feet with the Apex at 4 clicks.
With the MonsterSpin system, I put the flatline on regular (for long range shots) and put the Apex 2 at 4 clicks, which is the accuracy setting for the Apex. Then I aim about 20 feet up like normal. And I shot at the pole. I could hear it hitting the pole, but I couldn't see where it was hitting, so I walked out there. And there on the pole were three hits all right next to each other and they were about 15 feet UP on the pole! So it was only dropping less than 5 feet at 200 feet away.
That is the least amount of drop I have ever seen with a paintball gun. And I was using some cheap leftover walmart paint one of my friends left at my field from last year... So it wasn't even "good" paint.
This barrel is amazing... Seriously, you should try it, you won't believe what it can do.
I have other videos testing it on my youtube channel or my bliptv channel. Just search "Monster spin".

I took my MonsterSpin out to a scenario in May and finally got the first video together. I put in a ton of tricks and tips that I use when playing in the woods as a sniper/assassin. My general tasked me with taking out high value targets, and trying to get their general. This video is from my first run of the day. It is long, so if you have some time to kill, you might enjoy it! blip.tv/trailsofdoom/paintball-assassin-tips-and-tricks-my-scenario-tactics-revealed-6610088

Nice video, shame about the time running out. It might be a good idea to have a watch or something so you can check how much time is left (if the event has a proper schedule i mean)
Kinda jealous though. at almost all the fields i have access to they clear away most of the bushes/low trees so its kinda open even in the forests (harder to sneak up close)

Got to head to Paintball Junkeez for opening day on Saturday. And took my MonsterSpin on my A-5. Got some unbelievable kills with it, that NO OTHER barrel system can even think about doing! Check it out! Funny thing happened at the beginning of one of the games (first in game clips on the video) I shot towards the front where the other team would come from, and the guys in front of me where SHOCKED with how far my paint went. So they asked me to shoot again, and one of them said "but it won't break that far"... So I shot at the blue barrel over 175 feet away. The ball hit the water in front of the barrel and skipped off the water and hit the barrel and broke. Then another asked me to shoot the barrel again, so I did. and hit it again about 2 inches above the first shot... From all the way across the field. Then at 2:27 I shot THROUGH the thickest of woods and nailed another player in the HEAD. You gotta see it to believe it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qpk9_PG4Hvg

Getting tempted to try that barrel system on my Phenom (still prefer FS to round paint but always nice to have options). Real nice shot at 2:27 managed a similar one myself a few years ago but sadly i don't have any videos (mine was a little shorter distance though). One question about the video though. Is the crosshair added in editing?

You should Archorn, it is REALLY fun to use! There are SO many settings and once you learn what it can do, your opponents will have to change their tactics when facing you as you can easily shoot twice the distance they can! I had guys hitting me on Saturday but they were so far away, the paint just bounced when it hit me, and I hit them back and it broke on them! (I was using valken Crusade paint).
Yeah, I also have to "position" the shot in editing and add the reticle... As you have to take into account the amount of drop for each shot on video.
That shot (2:27) was about 120 feet away. With my MonsterSpin it doesn't drop much at all at that distance. But, I have my camera set up so even if it is 250 feet away (or more) I can capture it on film. But, the further out you go, the more drop it will have, so I have to position the raw ZoomCam footage so that the impact is close to the middle of the screen. Then I add the reticle to the footage, and ghost it back so it doesn't block the paint flying.
It is a hassle, but I think it looks cool on video that way. Sometimes I leave it full screen if you can see other players in the footage. As it is cool to see their reaction when paint goes flying past them and way out there!
I have a TON of testing videos of my MonsterSpin barrel on my youtube channel, as I have been trying all kinds of stuff with it and filming it!
Here is a game in DEEP snow from February, using my MonsterSpin to decimate the other team!
If you do break paint in the barrel, you pretty much have to stop and clean it, as the paint in the flatline will ruin your future shots... Course that is the subject of my new "pro paintball tips" video...
Keep that barrel clean! haha!

Finally hit the field Sunday with my A-5 using my MonsterSpin and my Tipx with my Apex 1 on it.
Here is the first game.
