So I am breaking down and probably buying an FS marker. I want something somewhat milsim and the FS rounds are advantageous. I know "best" is an opinion. So what do you guys see as the best fs capable marker in your eyes. I like the looks of the more rifle style marker. And with the DAM and the SAR 12 its becoming more of a complex question. My only 2 requirement is it is semi auto and a stock option that isn't instock tank (I use remotes, always have always will). Ability to use reg PB rounds and tac rails are bonuses but not deal breakers. (Though I haven't seen any that cant or dont have both)

Narrow down the role you want to play. Why ? Because it should dictate your purchase...
i.e. a. if you like sniper role you want to buy an FS marker that can sport a rifled barrel and scope for long shot accuracy ! b. If you like to be mid field or up close then a rifled barrel isn't as important and maybe a MR5 might be best (inexpensive FS marker compared to a DYE)
I have been eyeballing the Spyder MR5 for some time, its inexpensive, has mag options, paint options, and have heard rumors of a Lapco barrels being made for it. I have also seen some neat mods to this marker over on MC-Brown.
I run a T9.1 (bought used), instock-tank, Rifled barrel, Hawke scope, bipod... I have enjoyed being in the back field, plinking off opponents from a distance. Obtaining an angle to help comrades up front is a fun style of play in sniping. I carry a pistol as backup.
I also sport an A5 for regular CQB/hopper play.
Im relatively new to this role, so others on this list might have better advice.

I sport an A-5 R/T with tac-cap and 16" Freak now. I am looking for something longer range then probably go shorter tip on the A-5 for a general/cqb play. I am looking for long range which is the reason Im switching to FS capable

Try Trinitys blog, he covers allot of material and is very knowledgeable on most of the FS markers. trinity-tangodown.blogspot.com/Personally I think the Milsig Para-Pro would be a better purchase than the Dye DAM. More marker for the money.
