Got inspired by chicago, here goes.
The idea would be to post experience with different cameras, reviews, info and what not.
So here goes, I use a contour roam, and I'm quite happy with it.
Pros: good sound, good picture, stands up to a direct hit to the lens (multiple times so far and has not, knock on wood, broken yet), relatively sleek profile from front, line laser to center and rotate the camera so that you get it horizontal (This actually came in handy last weekend when going in to a dark room, I put on the laser and "scanned" the room, the way the line bent at the corners made me get an idea of the size of the room, and it also looked really cool)
Cons internal battery (not changeable, i.e. you cant have a spare with you and swap out) this results in somewhat limited rec time if you don't have a power supply to recharge it from. If i remember correctly it is around 3-5 h of continuous recording, other models have swapable batteries, so you can have a spare. No optical zoom, makes it hard to make out players at longer ranges. This cam gives more of an overview than a closeup on the long shots.
I'll post more info and some footage once I get the time.
