I can't say enough about this upgrade. Attached to a Flasc barrel, it is awesome (or a tib or lapco barrel with adapter). Reason I mention other barrels is that Flasc makes barrels for many markers, not just my Tibs. The following is an excerpt from the Tiberius forum I posted just a few minutes ago. I think it captures just how useful this suppressor is. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I played with Voodooaddict yesterday, Saturday in the pistol and pump tournament at Fox. He was often on my 9 or 8 o'clock. I remember wondering why he wasn't shooting at all - he had some targets on his 12. Then today, I remembered he had the new Flasc fake Suppressor. He was shooting, I just never heard the shots. That's cause he was shooting and using that new suppressor. I've never played with anyone else who was running that suppressor until yesterday. Man, they really do work. Oh, I just remembered earlier comments from people that I played with last year. They'd ask me why I didn't take a shot the whole game. It never registered til this moment that they were probably talking about the suppressor (indirectly, they just never heard me fire); and, that's why they hadn't heard me fire. I just assumed they were absorbed in the game. Now, I realize it was my suppressor. __________________ Just a little info. When you shot, you hear the bolt and a noise that comes back at you (from the porting on the end of the suppressor). But, people in front of you hear nothing. So, don't go crazy if you get one and still hear a noise. Just remember to have someone else tell you what they hear when they are in front of your marker (using proper safety precautions of course). I think they are extremely useful to a sniper. In this tournament, I missed with my first shot (yes, Chicago will occasionally rush an opportune shot and miss). Normal, the report from your marker alerts the opponent and they take appropriate countermeasures. When using this suppressor, they are unaware of their impending doom (yes, Chicago never missed a second time!)

Could you please try and get a decibel reading with and without the suppressor? A decibel app on a smartphone should do the trick if you can get your hands on one.

My cell is dead anyway, but one of my sons must have an app on their phones. Their phones are so sophisicated I taught one to fetch me beers!

Love Mine.
However , I would like to get that outer sleeve in different lengths.
Something for their SQB and Breaker barrels would be Sweet.

kinda close, Lapco rifled barrel (14inch). Then flasc adapter then 3 inch extension into a flasc suppressor with a 5 inch insert inside. Since I got the newer end cap for the suppressor, I eliminated the 3 inch extension. Problem was the thickness of the adapter/lapco barrel didn't allow insertion into the suppressor. The new suppressor end cap is just a bit bigger allowing full insertion. Hope that helped and was kinda clear.

Aaaaah so that's what the little length sticking out of the suppressor was...
I'm thinking about getting the FLASC 14 inch (gen2) and put the suppressor over it. Do you think I'd get the same noise reduction without the extra barrel length? And will the suppressor fit over all the porting?

The one thing I have always been curious of is why does Flasc carry an adapter so you can use their tips on other barrels, but they don't carry an adapter that would allow non-Flasc tips to be used on their barrels.
If you're gunna go one way why not go both?

Aaaaah so that's what the little length sticking out of the suppressor was... I'm thinking about getting the FLASC 14 inch (gen2) and put the suppressor over it. Do you think I'd get the same noise reduction without the extra barrel length? And will the suppressor fit over all the porting? The fourteen inch is a great barrel and it would work, the new suppressor would fit over the porting and the noise reduction (without having a meter) seems relatively the same. I haven't fired it extensively because there are some pre-production problems which causes breach breaks/jams. But, the shots that do work are dead on (more so than the rifled lapco - in my experience). Two down sides, the 14 inch isn't available yet unless he just reintroduced it. He promised me he'd send me the first new 14 inch off the line. and, two, I don't know what the final 14 inch barrel bore size will be. So, I'd recommend the bore kit which comes with a three and a nine inch extension (9in has gen porting). And with the 5 inch bore portion you get a total barrel length of either 8 or 14 inch which to me are the two important lengths for tibs and you get to select the bore sizes as well!

Yeah I only saw the two piece kit 14 inch barrel, not the one piece. I'll be ordering after the summer so hopefully the one piece will be out by then..

So its how much and dosent work?? Rough price: $60 for the suppressor (redesigned and available) and $90 canadian for the one piece 14 in barrel (not avaialble yet). The bore kit I was talking about (I think is $100 and is available). Web site off the top of my head is www.flasc.com - they are a small canadian company with great service and fair prices. Here's a picture of the bore kit. Does it work, yes all Dave's products are awesome. --- edit: here's a link to some data on different bores www.flasc.com/pages/articles/fsrboresize.htmlAttachments:

I just realized that FLASC has two web sites. Don't ask me why. Anyway they are slightly different and contain different info so I thought I'd provide both: www.flasc.comwww.flascpaintball.comlet god sort it out...I'm just a crazy old man with an invisible naked ninja posse of former cheerleaders (they are very adorable and loyal). Two sites is too much for me. GIRLS! --- edit: in addition to the new fake suppressor which is awesome, you'll note by the earlier link - the flasc bore data that the 0.687 bore has a standard deviation of just two feet per second. Which is really helpful when you are trying to be consistent shot to shot (and the efficiency is great too). And, these are measured facts (and field experience); not sales or marketing hype!

one site is their "info site" and one is their online shop. That's exactly what Dave the owner told me yesterday when I noticed this. I was just basically pointing out that it never registered with me that he had two sites (just a crazy old man that is no longer very aware or bright). One, to respond to your earlier question, he had told me he was considering making the other direction (the adapter); but which ones first. I think he should just stick to what works for him. I for one really like his threading. Two, to point out, something on the precious posting I did on the bore kits. I use the 0.687 bore and I really like it for FS, consistency, and efficiency. It gives new birth to your regulator (makes it seem as though the fps are now constant). This is what I've been trying to say along. FPS is not just a function of the regulator, porting and barrel also play a factor. 2 fps variation is an awesome addition to attempts at accuracy!

Actually from what i've read and gathered it does. Or rather re-directing the sound backwards thus making it quieter for anyone standing in front of you.
