Since many members don't FB, I thought I'd bring this to you!
"It has been a week since MagFed Fulda Friday (MFFF) and now that the dust has settled and the MagWell camp has had a chance to collect our thoughts.
First off, the games went very well. We had excellent participation and shooters from all over landed some trigger time. Not only did shooters who came well equipped get games in, but so did new comers who were wanting to know what the new thing
in paintball was all about.
Representatives from the big names in MagFed were on site and helped bring MagFed into focus for many of the "lost".
PsiOps fueled MFFF with MILSIG rental markers (and by rental...we mean FREE rental) to spread the MagFed gospel. The new MILSIG MK3 CQB, MK3 Elite Pro, and Paradigm Pro were all on scene as well, along with just about every marker accessory that you could imagine. Also, FazMags proved to be a MagFed staple and were readily available at the beginning of the weekend...but nearly sold out by Sunday. Good offering there.
RAP4 brought down a pair of the new 468's to get some stress testing on the field. In talking to the RAP4 rep, we learned of some pretty cool plans for world domination and how the 468 platform will take them there. This platform will be the most versatile on the market and allow full on customization to each shooters specification. It won't be long until this platform is ready and when it is, whether your game is played up close or at long range, bottle on or remote, high capacity or first strike, there is a 468 for you. This marker will be a must have in your MagFed collection
Carmatech turned heads with the SAR12 sniper rifle. Shooters brandishing these had nothing bad to say about the marker. The general consensus was that this was the most true shooting marker the players had experienced. The SAR12 isn't a match to the playing style of every shooter, but they will have a field presence to be reckoned with.
Dye had the DAM...and were surprised to find a MagFed event happening. There were shooters running the DAM in our MFFF games as well. This will prove to be an interesting one to keep an eye on. MagFed is a game of the mind as much as it is the paint, so this may end up more of a scenario marker than a practical MagFed platform. We had a chance to toy with the mags and they proved very easy to maintain. The sliding cover for each stack of paint was a nice feature. To have JUST released, Fulda Gap was DAM near saturated (heh...) with this new offering.
Tippmann was there. They were selling TiPX's. Tiberius was MIA. The only field legal Scarab (at least at the time) was getting it's exercise.
One of the greatest assets MagWell had at the game was MagFedPB.com grabbing TONS of photos. What better way to spread the word than to put out pictures that make you want to play? BIG thanks to Aaron and the staff at MFPB for the exposure that they gave. If you're not a member of this community...go join it.
Several shooters took part in the MagWell soft skills drill...(You know who you are...no need to name names). Records were set...I think the reigning champ holds the record of 101 muscle memory reloads repetitions. If you missed them...test your skills at the next MWSG.
All in all, Friday made Fulda for us. We got to build as a community and at the early stages of the next thing in paintball, the efforts were certainly not in vain.
Thanks to all who came out, contributors and shooters alike. In case you didn't notice...MagFed is gaining momentum. That's how we reclaim the game!
