When I first used my t9.1 it was working very well, apart from chopping due to the detentes on hopper feed. Once I had established that the marker was in good working order and I had my sight zeroed I decided to strip, clean, and lube it up.
After I had rebuilt the marker it was slightly less accurate and when I attended a paintball event the next day it kept losing power then the bolt would rapidly go back and forth very quickly without pulling the trigger (sounded like a fart). As soon as I pulled the slide check back it would stop, then when I put the slide check back forward the bolt would reset. I stripped cleaned and oiled again with techt gun drops and it just kept doing it all day.
Worst case was when I managed to sneak up on the enemy to within 15 feet for my first shot to roll out the end of the barrel and then start sounding like a fart resulting in me looking like a rainbow.
Has anyone had this issue or know what the problem is? I can only thinking the regulator but not sure.

various reasons. what are you using. CO2 or compressed air and how is it going into the marker. Through the back or in a magazine or remote coil?

I am using HPA through the asa via a 45 degree outlet into a remote coil.

be sure that the pin which connects the trigger to the releaselever of the valve is in good condition. If it is slightly bend it may cause this problems. My friend had this with his t8.1

thanks mercenary. The pin is straight as an arrow so must be something else.

did you take a look inside the reg already?

No, haven't looked yet. I am away from home so cant look now either. I was thinking when I cleaned the inside of the bolt out I may have slightly bent the small pin inside it. I used a microfibre cloth and a very small allen key to wipe around the pin. it doesn't look bent though.

You might check the remote on/off knob. If you screw them all the way "on" it can block some of the air coming from your tank. Just turn it on about half way or a little past where the marker airs up.

Tried that one as well DJmatt123. it would fire fine for a shot or two and then start playing up. when it did fire fine I could hear the bolt sliding back slowly and if I fired before I heard it go back all the way then it would just fire a ball about 5 feet and start the bolt going back and forth.

same problem my teammate had
hey said it was the pivot lever between trigger and reg
be sure that the tiny o-ring on the triggerconnection-pin is installed tightly, so that the lever is as close as possible to the trigger
and as i already said, the pin may not be bent

Haven't been able to check as my marker is at home and I am based overseas. Really don't want to lose my baby to security at the airport!
I will be on leave next month so I will be stripping the reg down, cleaning and rebuilding it. Will also double check the linking arm for the trigger like mercenary said.

Well after giving the reg a good clean and oil up with techt gun drops that seems to have sorted the air problem. With my new str8 shot and rotor I went through a box and a half of stirling shield with not one break or silly air probs! Then I opened up my box of marrbalisers, what a mistake! They matched my .686 barrel nicely but broke almost 1 in every 10 balls! After a break the air problems returned.
Between each game I stripped the marker down and cleaned and oiled and then come the first 10/15 shots, SPLAT!! So I reckon the thick paint from the marbalisers is getting into the reg and bolt and making them sticky.
The problem with air after a break was after a shot there would be a sssssspp sound like the bolt was slowly returning and if I shot while the ssssspp sound the ball would come out at half the speed. I also noticed that the small cone shape that slides inside the bolt has two little chunks out of the middle and I am not sure if they are supposed to be there or if it is aiding the air problem.

I believe what you are describing on the bolt is normal, it's part of the assembly process when they tighten that part in until the tabs break off which is what your are seeing...

Its odd to me that you are having these problems I am by far not an expert.I have a t8 one of the first 300 never has broken a ball.Use smaller paint, check the detents are you feeding ok??i had some fs issues I worked through it.

Also, check the color of your springs. Red for first strikes (very important), silver for paintballs (equally as important). As much as they imply you can switch mid stream you can't. If you tune your marker for paintballs and then start shooting first strike you will be shooting hot!

Using Marbellizers can be a big part of the issue, while not ultra thin shell it's brittle enough to cause problems (Allu among others have experienced this). I've shot marbs through my t9.1 with the .683 rifled barrel without any problems, but this could simply be because i've never had the balls in the mag for more then a minute or two before firing of the mag (i.e the spring won't affect anything in that short time). Still i would recommend going for a other brand of paintballs that has a thicker shell.

Maybe the quality of marballisers aren't as good over in th U.K. Think they import them from the U.S instead of making them in the U.K so they might be a bit old by the time I get them. They even broke in my mini that was firing 265/270fps. Its a shame as they are perfectly round with minimal seem and all the same bore.
As for swapping to fs mid game, I tried this (in a hurry!) and crushed an fs round in the barrel. This resulted in me getting plastered by two guys with ego's.
