Straight forward question, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on it. Do you think that barrel tips, from mock suppressors to fancy thread savers, negatively effect the accuracy of a paintball or first strike? With the stock t9/t9.1 "silencers" that came with the gun I had always felt they diminished the accuracy over long distance. Just wondering if the community had any thoughts.

I have not tested it but it has kinda been my assumption that they would. Idk so much about thread savers and short flash suppressors but for sure the longer screw on accessories like the mock suppressors. I would rather there were a longer one piece rifled barrel to achieve the longer sniper appearance. I would guess that if you had a mock suppressor that screwed on over your barrel that did not extend out past the rifled control bore it would be ok.

Yeah, damn shame the FS Rifled barrel is so short. I'd be curious how a longer barrel with rifling would perform. I know 12-16 is optimal for regular paint, but we have to assume that the first strike AND rifling is a whole different world.
But I digress...

Does Hammer Head make a Tibby barrel? I'm guessing the answer is no otherwise I would have heard about it by now, but there is hope right? Something in the 20" range in a .686 or .687 bore. Is there a more appropriate post for me to take this up? Kinda getting off topic sorry.

In the U.S., it is customary to leave a tip. 20% for good service. My naked ninja posse wanted that stated upfront!
Over the years and recently tooo, with the advent of First Strike rounds, I have unofficially (that is never precisely measured) tested different tips for their accuracy over short range (100-200 feet).
I have found no negligible difference. Theoretically, there is an "impedance" matching that takes place with certain tips in paintball (more precisely different porting). There is very little flash suppression (putting it mildly).
I'm into accuracy so I always tested my new barrels with different tips to see if there is any difference at regular paintball ranges. I have seen no difference from tip to tip (as far as accuracy, loudness yes, but not accuracy).
All that said there is one, the flasc gen2 porting system. It is the one piece 14 inch barrel that fires its first strike round with the greatest accuracy of any barrel/porting system. However, it is only the first shot. After that it jams in the breech each time. I have had two such barrels both were dead on accurate. Both failed exactly the same and flasc has pulled them from the shelves. If they are ever reintroduced, I will try them again. They were that impressive. (8 shoots from a mag is bad enough but 1 shot is not tolerable).
