Alright i had another awesome game yesterday, not getting eliminated a single time (not too uncommon) and plenty of eliminations (only missed a 2 FS during the whole day). That being said i once again noticed something. You see dear readers i had 2/3 of all eliminations as headshots. While i generally aim for the torso i've noticed that while using FS i tend to take more and more headshots. I don't know if it's my real sniper training that kicks in or if it's pure ego (headshotting just because i can). Now what i like to know is does any other of you do this? i.e my question is: Do you guys take headshots on purpose?

No head shots on purpose, but, still mostly head shots. If they are up and moving or just plain standing, its a body shot (cause there's more to hit). But many times they are hunkered down and only show their heads (if they are any good at playing the game). So, yes, mostly head shots!
Great idea for a poll (even if it comes from a subspecies).

If a center mass shot is available I'll take that, but when it's not the head is fair game. As a general rule though, not typically.

I aim for what ever is exposed. Usually that's their head poking out from behid a bunker. My guess is I make head shots 1/2 the time.

HELLo!
I too tend to shoot a bit more headshots now than before, it seems. Though, if there is a body shot available I go for safe as well, and take it. My theory about this increased number of headshots is that now that I (we) finally have a weapon that allows us to shoot one round, and actually hit where we aim it has enabled us to take those more difficult shots with greater confidence. Whereas before we'd simply sneak closer, or just spray a whole lot of paint into the bushes where said OP FOR was hiding in the hopes that at least one of the balls would make it through.
That's at least, what I seem to be doing when comparing my previous playing style with my current one. :-)
Happy snipin'!

I know from experience that head shots do not hurt, if you are hit in the mask. So I aim for mask shots if I can, but most of the time I hit teh torso.

when I am using FS I tend to aim for the mask as I know that some people complain that FS rounds hurt more than regular rounds, but if it hits their mask they can't ***** at me about it. As for regular .68, when I use it, everywhere is fair game

Not any more. I was really on the edge since I just shoot at what is in my sight incising heads.

I LOVE shooting guys out with a headshot... It is so fun, and they never even consider saying "bounce"... I even made a video of some of my headshots. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQAcHlNDTDUIt is in 1080HD and I play with a high end Sony camcorder with optical zoom so you can see what I am shooting. Subscribe if you like it.
