So, I was wondering can you be honest and tell us what Global Moderators and moderators do. What do you spend most 0f your time on? I've never noticed "out and out" hostility on this forum like I have on others. Is it the community or are you guys that good?
Archangel, I think they deserve a raise. The tib mods made it sound like it was this high stress, thankless job that they spent every waking moment fighting bots, etc.
We actually hear quite a bit from our mods; and, I for one appreciate their comments and knowledge. I suggest a lovefest of responses here. Hip, hip, her way.
P.S. My posse has a curse on Mr. SkullCandy, sir.

COOL, can your posse "curse" me  Same here on the globe mod thing. Actually, what do the forum leaders do, other than sit around in their underwear and eat cheedos. |

Well ocassionally we hunt down the members that bother us and beat them with an ugly stick (still in our underwear and eating cheetos), but mostly we just live the terrible life of a mod (much like the tiberius mods said it was). The bots are relentless, the trolls are terrible, and then we've gotta deal with all of you guys...its hell

HELLo! You must not forget the fact that you have to read all of the posts in the forum in minute detail, to make sure that there isn't anyone trying to sneak anything by you. Contraband or otherwise. *Firmly nods*  Nah, I'll be a bit more serious. Thankfully the forum is still small enough to not need a lot of moderation, at least that's what my own experience tells me. Though, that doesn't mean that the mods aren't important. Their main task in a forum in its beginning is to set the tone, drive traffic, and make sure that there is some actual content here. So that not only will people come here, but so that they will return as well. So far, from what I've seen, all the mods and the regular members alike have done a splendid job here! So congrats to you all.  Here's to many more years of A.C.E.S. growing and prospering! Happy snipin'! |

Don't take this in a hostile way everyone, I spend a lot of time looking at the history of some of the members that join the board. I look at where you're active in other paintball communities and I judge if you'll be a good member of this one. The job is relatively easy because you have made it easy for us.
Oh, I should add that I get a ton of PMs everyday so if it takes me a while to get back to you it's nothing personal, at all. I love this forum. I love what we represent.

I guess we can forgive the pm thing if you give us all t4s, lol, Jk. For being a hobby allot of people give up a TOOOOOONNNNEEEEE of time to manage their forum. The pms that flow into BOD and MOD pm boxes is amazing. For all those bashing MODS or BODs, just stop. They work damn hard to keep the forum up and running. Sure this forum might be smaller than others, but that will soon change as our name gets out there. The overall atmosphere of this forum draws people in. Part of that is the personal activeness in the forums our BODs and MODS take part in. Allot of other forums have BODs and MODs that post absolutely nothing. So hug the next BOD/ MOD you see and say "thank you". I guess that was kind of a cheesy T-shirt quote, sorry...
